Dust off the quads and get ready for some good fun! We've worked out a great start for spectators and have several other areas for spectating! The local church is cooking again, so bring an appetite and leave the cooking to them! Best coffee yet!

We (SEFTR and friends) are headed out there this weekend to put all but the finishing touches on this course. Many of you know this course as it is the same property as the last QS hosted by SAQR. We have mixed it up a bit to make it different, but there is still a creek to cross! I hope for rain as well, but not too much as we have different sections thanks to the dry conditions. I promise you, this start will be one to remember!

I just got home from a weekend of working my butt off. It poured for an hour straight yesterday. About 8 1/2 miles of fast trail for Saturday and about 11 for Sunday. Course is pretty free flowing with plenty of creek crossings with no water in them today. Sign up will be under the trees by concessions. Concessions will be provided by the local church. They know how to do it right Pit Stop racing and other vendors will be there for any of those last minute things. We had our club meeting and next year we will be hosting a Quad Scramble!!

A special thanks to Lawn-man-mx and KenZ for coming out to help. Rafael picked me up a few weekends ago and we drove over there, worked all day and drove home. 3 hrs each way. Much thanks, bud. KenZ has been out a few times and works his you know what off! I told you about the rain, well lightning hit a tree branch with an arrow stapled to it and singed the marker! A big special thanks goes to a quad rider who doesn't come to this site, Dave Dunick. This guy has drove us over there every weekend there wasn't a race for the last two months. And we are doing it all in hopes you guys have a blast!

Why is it that more FTR racers dont come to this site? At my clubs meeting I passed out a few rally flyers and tried to talk about it and it is like they wanted to remain separate from any other organization. The FTR website forum is VERY lame and inactive. I really think if more people would give woods racing a try, they would be hooked. They are just scared to sack up for the first race, might find out how slow they really are .

you'd be surprised who is talking about the rally. It is on the FTR site as well. The rally really will have no bearing on FTR. It has been going for over 30 years already. Don't get me wrong. The ATV people need to come together and demand Florida uphold the law(Mark T Schmitt law) and quit giving our money to the rec fund that goes to bicycle, horseback, and hiking trails. Can't remember any of those groups being required to get a registration sticker for the bike or the horse or the backback? ANyway, that is a totally different issue. Let's go racing!!

Had a fun time out there working. There is just something about that property that it is always nice to be out there.
It is a good club putting this race on, so come out and support them!! They put a lot of work into it and tried to use as much new stuff as possible. It will be fun and fast!
If I remember correctly, Chillin is the one who started the thread about the rally on FTR forum. Not too many responses on there though.
See everyone on Saturday.

Well my quad is ready for the race, I'm sure the track will be nice, so let's go racing, hopefully we have a good turn out, it feels like years since last race I did. I'm sure next season we will have a lot more QS races, this season was not all that good, but next one will be way better. See you guys at the track !

My bike will be ready, IF GT thunder can overnight me a set of ball joints. While giving my bike a final check I found my lower joints were really loose. If I can get the joints on Fri. I'll put them in on Sat. after practice. If I cant get them, then I'll ride it till it breaks. This will be my 3rd. set this year.

First race for me and I'm hooked. A bit dusty but just another reason to pass someone! The wide open spots were great too.

This was my first Harescramble and I loved it. I did the quadscrambles before and this was totally different because you don't get to ride with the A and B riders if you are in the QS C class. Those A riders are insane!!!! I was moving pretty good and the A class riders would pass me like I was parked on the side of the course. I decided to give chase to 9A for a while but then I realized I wanted to walk again because if I kept up that pace, I would have ended up in a wheel chair for sure! Great time though. See you guys at the next one!
