I just purchased a 8.6x22 Enclosed trailer Tandem Axle, it is being built to my specs..

It is just being used for additional storage at the house, i have a toy hauler already..

My only ? is, would my 1995 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.2L V8 be able to pull it empty.

I only need to get it from the builder ( SW 220th and US1 ) to North Miami ( 135th and I-95 ) for those who are local.. It is about 40 miles

I do not know the weight on the trailer, but figure maybe someone on here can give me a base weight and an idea if my truck would do the job...

THANKS,
Tony

It will pull it just fine. I pulled an 8x20 with 6 quads plus gear, fuel, coolers and so forth all over Florida with a K5 blazer. You're not going to drive over 55 but it will pull it down the road just fine.

I would make sure that you have a brake controller though.

Also if you notice some sway problems, get a sway control and weight distribution.

I used to pully my enclosed trailer with my f-350, pedal to the metal.  brakes are for sissies, just switch lanes.  JK.
