Legally you can only ride on Mack's property if they give you permission.  If you go outside of there property FWC can ask you to leave.  Outside of Mack's property is the Everglades/Francis S Taylor Wildlife Management Area.  The only place you are permitted to ride in this WMA is up by the Broward/Palm Beach Line and U.S. 27 by Holeylands.

thats not entirely true.  across the krome and to teh east, there is about 60 acres or so (i would guess?) that is privately owned.  we have permission to ride on this land, however, FWC will get picky about you crossing krome to get there and presume that you crossed krome unless your trucks are parked at this property.  its only about 200 yards on krome so i risk it all the time and haven't been caught once on krome.  there is a mud pit back there as well as some trails through the maleluca with soupy mud...not too hard to get stuck back there if its just rained.

if the cops don't catch you crossing krome a semi-truck will...like the guy who got splattered not to long ago crossing krome....stay off the roads!!!!gives all of us ATVers a bad name when select few ride on highways and get caught,,just another strike out for the rest of us trying so hard to get legal area's open

take it easy man...its not like we ride DOWN krome...we CROSS the street and ride down the side of the road about 15 ft from the rd itself...

hey your the one saying you ride down the road or cross the road not me,and i'm just saying good luck not getting caught losing your bike to fwc or getting splattered by a truck...take it how you wish,i don't ride at macks cuz to many idiots acting foolish out there attracts the cops cuz people call them saying ...people on 4wheelers riding on the road or whatever......thats why cops come down so hard on all the rest of us........not coping an attitude with you,,,just not afraid to tell it like it is....GOOD LUCK

look, you can ride at macks, or across teh street and to teh east, but not in fpls land, which is down krome a bit more.

i know for a fact you can ride on the other property though because its private and we have permission. you can't drive across the street though so you can't park your truck at macks, you have to unload at the place across the street, otherwise FWC says "howd you get here??"  and then gives youa  ticket for riding on the road.

It is illegal to ride on the South side of Krome. I would suggest not even bringing your bikes out there. The first time you are caught, you are supposed to get a warning but they haven't be doing that. They have just been taking the bikes. You are aloud to ride behind the store there, with the owners  permission. And unless you know them, they won't open the gate for you. Sorry!  :-/

Your facts are a little messed up Smiley  First of all, anywhere there is a yellow gate blocking a levy, you can't ride, including behind Macks.  They just made a little filled in area to go around the gate.

As for the south side of chrome, you can ride to the southeast, but not the southwest (FPL/WMA land).  The Southeast is owned by a guy that has a construction company and he doesn't mind us riding there.

It just occured to me that you're lindsey Smiley  hehe  cool stuff man.  welcome to the board...now get more than 3 posts! lol

We are out at Holy Lands almost every Sunday and some Saturday nights. But, this weekend we are going to Okechobee (which should be fun, hopefully the weather is good). I am friends with the owners out at Macks. The "South Side" is closed which is blocked by a yellow gate. That is where they take bikes. Haven't been out there in awhile.... Maybe you can show us around, where we can actually ride!
