they add alot of power and their customer service is extremely great (if it were ever to get messed up).

Yes there customer service is awesome. I had a K&N that shrunk a little on my old xr200, and I called (no wait, connected right away)them and told them what happened. They said ok, whats your address, and they sent a replacement out like the next day. Keep them clean, and oiled and you should have no problems with them passing dirt/dust. Alot of people dont like them cause they say they pass dirt, but I have never had any problems, and have never really heard of anyone that has actually had problems.
Hey Fox17, hows that xr400 treating you? Every now and then I day dream back to that bike.................oh, it was great bike. Any stitches or broken bones yet? I got a 400ex and just rebuilt it, and broke it in last weekend.

In my opinion K/N filters are for drag racing or moto cross. You couldn't give me one for dusty trail riding or XC racing. Also no good if you are a mud rider and drown your machine out regularly. A properly oiled foam filter can not be beat.

I guess that may be true if you are "OK" with your filter keeping "most" of the dirt out. I would like to keep "ALL" of the dirt out of my engine. |

It may cause your header bearings to wear out quicker, make sure to grease them. |

I have 3 banshee's w/ K&N's & a yfz w/ one also. The key is keeping them clean & OILED.
Also wear your protection (OUTERWEARS) they'll help a BUNCH.
Been runnin them for year's w/ no problem's. (I do try to stay out of the mud though, but again Outerwear's will help with that)
I don't care what you run, it's your motor.

I tried one once, but the anti discinigrating space modulator overheated.
There good and bad for the different kinds of riding.Listen to what Chillin said.

Technically,if you alter your exhaust with anything, it voids your warranty.Buy an aftermarket slip on, so you can still change it out if you have to.
Oh yeah,get hold of me, I would like a cabinet made for a stereo sytem in my jacuzzi room.
