When the trail system was being mapped, was there any talk about where all the clear cutting which is happening present or future.

The clear cutting is suppose to leave a buffer near the trails. they have had some problems with the loggers, hopefully they now understand. Yes, I was probably on line over the weekend, but unless it is extremely inportant, a let answering posts to during the week.

You kidding me? 50 feet, I guess the USFS thinks that a whole 50 feet will hide the clear cutting from the trails..... I guess where not to enjoy the forest like everyone else. So they charge the loggers for the wood, then they bill us for the green stickers, bill us for a permit fee, soon safety courses . Wow these guys are making a killing off the big dust bowl ocala is becoming. Did anyone try to fight for having the trail system in an area where there was no logging planned.

Why is it the little guy that always takes the hit. Why did the USFS decide to go with the state rule on training they didn't have to they don't seem to obey by any other rules. Now you've got people train to 50k and they are not certified by the state to train, what happens to 50k. So they charge us for permits, training, and a fee, why not use the 50k, to help the little guy out, it won't do any good training someone who can't train people.
Why not use the logging roads for trails, why not bulid trails in the places logged. Not much would be required. Why doesn't the ONFA fight for that, oh I forgot they aren't fighting for new trails, only what exists.

Program Objectives
To help off highway vehicle enthusiasts understand land and resource ethics, the Forest Service has developed a partnership with OHV user groups and industry to develop an OHV program.
· Unite all concerned in safe, sensible use of OHV recreational vehicles and responsible land management.
Two way trails are not as safe as one way trails / Clearcutting the area all around the trail system is not responsible land management
I still don't have a competant answer about all the clear cutting going on from the USFS or ONFA / Sorry the answer: they were verbal told isn't good enough for me.

Ocala Forest is a joke. We need someone who is looking out for the best interest for all parties involved and right now it seems to be really lopp sided.
I understand Grizzley is attending all the meetings and standing up for us but You are pro utility and just by looking at what has taken place so far Nothing has been done for the sport bike rider in the forest.
Also I can not confirm this but I heard someone was ticketed out there after crossing the road to the other side where a trail continued, the rider was on a utility and the front storage of his bike was loaded w/ ice and drinks and didn't want to shake them so his front tires were up against the burm (edge of the road and when he gassed it a little he slipped the rear tires a bit in the road and it appeared he was doing a burn out in the road. If that is true then the Rangers are getting either really desperate or are just plain _________(fill in the blank).
I have noticed Croom is starting to get quite a bit more riders on a regular bases. If everyone quits going to ONF as it appears they are soon Croom wont be fun anymore because of over population.
