Lets just say for a second that the state applied the regulation that protects the equestrian land owners from lawsuits to landowners considering an atv park .While it would also protect the landowner from urban encroachment it would devalue the surrounding land because of the noise , dust , ect..Personally I do not think the state will do anything to take value away from land in florida ! The reason it works for the polo people is because they are surrounded by other horse people .I dont think they will ever apply it to atv for this reason .We will be at the mercy of the state for some time to come , when HONDA , Zuki , Yamaha and other manufacturers start to get involved we may have a chance .Until then who knows. Our rights are being bound by red tape and developers with big time connections and it seems to be very hard to do anything about it . The value of the land is our worst enemy , how much land does it take to fill up a 1,000,000 insurance policy here in florida ? NOT MUCH ! That is the problem .

Truthfully, the whole Southeast is OFF ROAD FRIENDLY, except Florida.  Florida's problem is development and it's victim friendly legal system.  I grew up there surfing, I love the state, but there are those who look at the state as a cash cow and that's what they're developing.  I'm a capitalist, too.  When there's as much money in dirt riding as real estate, or when someone starts the movement, you'll see a change.  That doesn't mean saying "Get behind me" in a website post.  That means taking meaningful, outward action.
