Here are the results of the 3/3/07 Extreme Dirt Series Points Race. I'm a little slack in posting, but the AMA blew through town earlier in the week, and I've got the damned flu!

OPEN QUAD
1st- #17 David Bohnstadt, Honda 250R
2nd- #8 Gary Sisson. Suzuki LT450
3rd- #32- Bud Chancey- Honda 250R
An excellent race with these guys, as always. I think Bud had some mechanical issues with his 450R, so he was riding his backup bike. Like I said, an excellent race for sure. Hmmmm.... I think we need to take a peek inside Gary's "stock" motor! LOL!

INTERMEDIATE QUAD
1st- #6 Travis Edwards, Yamaha YFZ450
2nd- #17 Walter Baum, Honda 250R
3rd- #37 Bud Chancey, Honda 250R
This race was great. Travis gets faster and faster every week. Walter is new to our track, but this cat can damn sure ride.

VET QUAD
1st- #72 Chris Cabana, Yamaha YFZ450
2nd- #1 Tony Jacobson, Yamaha YFZ450
3rd- #71 Rick Dugan, Yamaha Raptor
This race was almost a gimme... Rick won both heats and was winning the feature until a chain failure took him out on the last lap. John and Tony were right behind him running hard to take over the 1 and 2 spots.  Excellent racing.

NOVICE QUAD
1st- #4 Dare Rambo, Yamaha YFZ450
2nd- #2 Zach Jacobson, Yamaha YFZ 450
3rd- #78 James Vogen, Yamaha YFZ450
Dare and Zach battled it out all night, but Dare finally came out on top. Congrats to James as well, he seems to be getting a little confidence back after his crash last year.

YOUTH QUAD
1st- #92 Jon Cabana, Yamaha Blaster
2nd- #7 Austin Akers, Honda 400 EX
3rd- #1 Joey Green, Honda 400 EX
The kids racing is great! The Blasters are crazy fast on the flat track, but Austin, Joey, and Justin Palmer on the 400's are right there with 'em.

SR. BIKES
1st- #25 David Coon
2nd- #8 Mike Gent
3rd- #16 Ben Czarniack
These guys always race a good, clean race. A great group of guys.

GADGET SPRINT CARS
1st- #29 Jeff Rairdon
2nd- #4 Kenny Perry
Gadgets are Honda Odyssey/Pilot frames with full sprint car wings and bodies, and 700cc snowmobile engines w/ CVT transmissons. Need I say more? They're crazy fast, crazy loud, and seem to break down "often". 7 entered, and 2 finished. I have personally drove on of these things, and I promise you they are awesome!

First of all thanks to all the die hard racers who toughed it out. I was going to call the race for rain, but the unanimous decision from all the racers was "lets race!" The word of the night was "TEAR OFFS". If you were not in the front, and had no tear offs, then you had a long night! A guy with a big box of tear offs could've made a fortune! The track received rain all day Friday, all of Friday night, and most of the day on Saturday. It even rained some during the races! The track was muddy and rough to say the least, but we all raced on the same surface, and nobody got hurt so it's all good! I do know when I got home I had clay in places I didn't think clay could get.
See ya'll next time.

Yep, 10am - 5pm. Bring it on, the track was beautiful last night. So much grip, the karts were smoking tires in the corners.
