!COMMUNITY VISIONING!
Meeting Notice
Saturday, March 3, 2007 - 9am to 2pm
Community Center - 1502 Port Malabar Blvd. NE
Come out and let the City of Palm Bay know that you think we need an Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Park!
>Do you or someone you know own an Off-Highway Vehicle (A.T.V., dirt bike, 4-wheeler, 3-wheeler), or did you or someone you know own one in the past or plan to own one in the future?
>Have you been harassed by local law enforcement officers or know of someone that has?
>Did you know that you are required to register your vehicle?
>Do you think that it is fair for the state to want you to register your vehicles while denying you the ability to ride and not providing legal public riding access?
>Did you know of the state law that would have allowed for ATVs to ride on dirt roads under 35 mph? Brevard County Commissioners opted out of allowing you this right.
>Do you think that something should be done to establish a recreational area for off-highway vehicles?
>If any of this applies to you, your family, your friends, or your neighbors, you need to get involved. Attend the Community Visioning meeting and let the city know you want an area designated for the off-road vehicles.
An economic impact study conducted in 2006 for the Croom Motorcycle area in the counties of Hernando, Pasco, Citrus and Sumter indicates that from January 2006 through May 2006 the park provided positive economic impact for the surrounding communities by providing jobs, additional business income, and other benefits.
Each workshop includes informational sessions, brainstorming and various interactive planning activities so that no two workshop experiences will be the same. Join us for coffee and stay for lunch.
These workshops are a great opportunity for YOU to become involved in Palm Bay's future.
See you at the next workshop!
