Author Topic: KFX 50 won't stay running  (Read 3277 times)

My neighbor just bought a KFX 50 for her son.  Bike is used and pull start.  Has new spark plug and actually did start while I was there.  However, the bike will not stay running like it doesn't have enough gas.  I recommended pulling carburator off and cleaning as well as draining gas tank and replacing w/ fresh gas.  I have been unable to locate a manual on this and have no knowledge of these little bikes so I was unable to find an air box if it has one.

Any suggestions?  Does anyone have a manual?

my kid had one of these the filter is in a little black housing on the back of the carb it sounds like the carb is full of trash I would pull it off and clean it my boys had the same problem and I got a new one off ebay with a new filter (new factory orignal) for under 100.00 to my door the guy is located in north florida and always has them listed

Thanks, do you happen to have a manual on the carburator?  Looks like I'll probably end up doing the work for him and the last carb job I did was on a jeep 15 yrs ago.
