ok. im not sure if this would work but i think it would be a cool idea. a 350cc air cooled chain drivin lawnmower.but it would really mow lawns i could like ride it in my woods.see i could get the motor out of a warrior take off the back end. find a way to weld on the axle and what not on to the lawn mower and runa huge chain all the way back to the axle where it would have a big ole sproket so i can do wheelies and go like 60 mph in the woods on a lawnmower. could this possibly work?

don't really think this would qualify as an awesome idea.  Actually, I feel dumber for having read this.

if you build it and it can mow lawns i will buy it

i changed the sprokets out on a  mower once and made it go a little faster and it was cool but the suspension (or lack of) still sucked, i took off the deck and stuff, it was a novelty machine mainly, i decided to leave it to quads to quench my need for speed

i do landscaping and mow this 6 acre piece of property and my mower goes like 5mph and it takes about 5 hours. if i could go at least 15mph and possibly turn on a dime i could do it in half the time. that would be a machine i would pay for. i know its called a dixie chopper but i cant afford one of those

A better idea would be to attach a mower deck under your quad. Just build the brackets to hold it and add one pully to pull the blades and you have the best of both worlds. Pull the pins and unhook the deck and your quad/mower is ready to play.
