I was just wondering what some peoples opinions were on the new For Sale sections? I think for the people that are just looking for a particular item it may be perfect but for me"I HATE IT". I used to check it daily and some days multiple times. It was very easy to see if something interesting was posted because it was all in a row.Now you have to open every catagory to see if your missing something interesting because it may not be listed under the particular catagory your in. I find it to be a hassle and rarely even go to the for sale section anymore.I'm not whining or petitioning for it to be changed back I'm just curious if I'm the only one that liked it the old way better?

Well if you truly dont have something to look for then are you really missing out on something? I enjoy it. So you might have to click more then once but its mainly for people who need something. It can be used for just random browsing but if your to lazy to click a few extra times then you really dont want anything. Also it makes it easier for people trying to sell something big like a quad when you dont have stuff like air filters and ipods knocking down your post. Anyway the poll was up in the forsale section for months. You should have voiced your oppinion earlier if you wanted it to stay the same.

there should be a new pole to change it back. people may change their minds now that they have seen the terrible repercusions their thoughtless voting has caused and the havoc it has reeked

Kieth, I couldnt agree with you more !!!!!! I used to scroll through EVERY time I logged back on just to see whats there. Now I dont really look anymore. Madmudder, This is NOT a being " lazy" as you call it, or " not " wanting something either!!! Non of us who have said we didnt like the format are teenage " dreamers". The simple fact of being able to see what might be interesting, or appealing ( eye catching) just isnt there anymore.
I know Mr. Bones went through ALOT of work to change it, BUT , I dont care for the "new" format either

i also have to agree, i may be the teenage dreamer, but still, it was the simplicity of being able to click the for sale section and not have to sort through diffrent categories and just scroll, it was also usefull for the people with limited amounts of time to sit down to the computer as apposed to someone like me who sitdowns all day and scrools through the page

I buy and sell alot of stuff on here, I got 1 car and 2 trailers up right now and Ill have another car up tommorow. Its easier the old way and I feel this format will not be as effective in attracting potential buyers

i dont want to be a smart ass but have you guys seen the link that reads. "show unread posts since last visit" Thats what i use... and everytime i am closing the site, i click the one that reads "mark all messages as read" then leave.... Imo the for sale section is fine like that.!!!

No disrespect to the teens!!!!! My point was that it would be more likely one of the older adults who would be purchasing something. I just think that it was easier, and not so time consuming to browse what is out there. Yeah, we know the " show unread posts" button is there, But if you venture to more than one thread, and have not made a post thats useless as well

Well its just that it makes it allot easier for people that are actually trying to sell or buy something versus just scrolling. I was hoping it would stay this way but I see people are put out by having to look somewhere. Anyway is there someway that we can leave it like this but have everything posted at the bottom too for the people who cant be bothered with an extra click...

I actually like the new set up better. I like that ppl don't have to keep bumping their stuff to compete. I like that I can go directly to a section to see what's for sale rather than have to sift through several pages to find a particular item. Thanks for the work Mr. Bones. OMG did wacker and I actually agree? The world must be coming to an end.

If you just want to randomly scroll then you might have to click twice. OMG! Wouldnt that be a tradgey? So if you really dont like it then lets make another poll and possibly take away from real buyers and sellers and negate all of Mr.Bone's hard work.

Personally I will never check any of the other sections like cars and real estate but in the old f/s section if there was a good deal there I might just check it out and buy. just my 2cents

I know it was a lot of hard work, that's why I didn't want to say I don't care for it either. I think the browser like myself won't frequent the for sale section like I used to. It will make it easier for the seller and the serious buyer. I also think it will cut down on the stupid comments.

Hey Junior, look at the original poll and you will see that I was one of the first to voice my opinion on August 24th 2005.And as Don said it's not a matter of being lazy it's just annoying.Try doing a little research before making accusations.I started this post just to see what others opinions were and as you can see not everyone likes the new format.I kind of lean towards the old addage "Why fix it if it aint broke?" If I'm looking for a certain item in the future I will go to that particular section but if not I will mostly avoid the for sale section entirely.I'm not saying my stance is the correct one I'm just stating my opinion.I do however respect the hard work Bones put into it.

I wasnt talking to you. I said that for anybody who didnt vote and now are complaining. Anyway all im saying is that the new format is better for a forsale section. It makes the buyers life easier because you have sections to find exaticly what your looking for without scrolling through page after page. It makes the sellers life easier because there stuff stays in the first page or so and they dont have to keep bumping it up to compete with other people. Especially when your selling something like a truck and you have to keep bumping it up to compete with an ipod and some tires. It just makes the lives of serious buyers and sellers easier. Just becasuse it puts people out soo much that they have to click and extra time doesnt mean we should abandon the whole thing. If it is an absloute tradgey then can we have something like when a topic is posted it goes into the section it was posted in and then it goes to the bottom? That way people can pilf around without that godawful second click and serious people can get what they need to across? Thats the only compromise I have....
