First of all...Way to go Dave!!!!!!!!

Had a great time at Jasper as usual! It was nice to see the league come together as a group (family) during the missing man laps. Very heartwarming! And again we are sorry about your loss.

   I had a great time as well, obviously right? I want to thank everyone who came over and congratulated me, it felt good to finally have things go my way. A special thanks goes out to all of you I ran with in the open class who raced so clean, not even a bump, Scott, Derek, Gary, Doug, David B., and Bud. Finally I want to thank Bud for being a real class act in the main for moving over for the leaders. I tried to thank him on the track but wasn't sure he saw me.
   From Chris and I a huge thanks goes to Matt Vogel. Although he is still recovering from a crash he stepped up and took the job of starter and lineup official for the league. He did an awesome job! Thank You!

I had some really bad fatigue problems in this race, the main event especially. I'm making sure that does not ever happen again though. I have a small write up with the details of the race and stuff in my Sponsorhouse blog if anyone else missed it.

I most definitely was, by the time Walter (on the 350x) passed me in the main I was just trying to keep from riding into the wall 

We ran 8 laps on the heats and 12 on the main at that track. Most of the smaller 1/4 mile ones (Jasper, Thunderbowl) are 15 in the main. Eastbay is HUGE though...its like twice the size of the rest of them. Everyone in my class was running 6th gear, most of the time wide open. That kind of speed and traction that track had with the feedback we get from the single centered front wheel makes a helluva time. I've been riding trikes for a very long time and I got a whole new respect for the amount of conditioning it takes to keep a fast pace on them that weekend. It was definitely fun to get out on a big track like that and really stretch the machines legs though. I gotta hand it to Alan and Walter both, they were riding faster technique wise there then any other time I think.
