I have been reading the post, I saw that you could ride in Jasper. Does anyone have information on this area, restrictions, legal or not and where in Jasper?

Best place around to ride when its dry. Its called the alapaha riverbed. It is full of water right now but when its dry you can park under the bridge and ride all the way to the swannee river and take a swim.

Yeah, the alapaha river bed at the intersection of state road 6, and 41. It is a great place to ride. It is full of water right now, but it is dropping... If I remember, I will give you a shout when it is dry.
They are sort of strict about you going on the banks because of erosion reasons. Other than that, they don't bother you over much of anything. There is plenty of sand to play in, and even on the dryest days, you will usualy come across areas where the river still remains and you can play in the mud. Pack the grill and a cooler, so you can make a day of it.

i promise you that its the longest 12 mile (1-way) ride you'll find around here. i can ride 80-90 miles in ocala and not be as tired as i am from riding in the alapaha river bed. it has it all, sand (extremely soft) water and hill climbs. it can be dangerous.

Really just need to know if it is dry far as you can see in both directions from the bridge. If it is there should be atleast 10 miles or so rideable.

Come on pimp.... ya know the water SOFTENS your falls... Why does it have to be dry as far as you can see?  ROFL.

I am R E A D Y for some jasper riding again.

I miss it and still look over the pics we have on the other web site from time to time with a small drool in the corner of my mouth.

By far the best place for a trail ride.

jjames...  this year im takin ya up on one of those beef jerkys ya pack!!!  Smiley
