Riding at Ocala ( big scrub )

we are planning a group ride at ocala big scrub , this coming weekend. i just wanted to find out some general information about the area/riding conditions, hows the camp , GAS ? etc... anything else we should know ? this is the first time we have ever been there . do you have to reserve camp spot ? are you allowed open fires ? someone just give me the heads up on how it is at big scrub so i can plan accordingly , thanks alot

The Last time I was there the rangers were giving everyone a hard time for riding through camp to get water, or even going the long way around to your campsite.The camp host is pretty cool about it, just don't let the law enforcement rangers catch you.

When you get out of camp, just ride as far as you can and get as far from camp as possible before expending your energy on the whoops. Once you get 3-5 miles away from camp, the whoops are much less and the trails are much better.

my suggestion,,,park about 5 miles away from camp at least to get to decent trails.
