I am taking the family to big scrub for the first time tomorrow morning for the day.  If anyone has any helpful information, or things to be aware of, please let me know.

Also, is anyone else heading that way tomorrow?

I'm guessing you've already gone.  I personally like it there.  There's a big bowl with some trails in it, and the only thing I can tell you is to not go flying through there.  There are a couple places down there were it'll do a sudden drop for 4 feet.  When I went there, they had to pull a guy out on a stretcher becuz he flew off his bike.  Have fun!

Just got back from spending this weekend there. It's still free, very good long endless trails, a nice cool pond called Blue Sink is @ 573G and there's a nice big dried-up sink hole to spin donuts. Good for sport quads, too!
