Ya that would be good...but if you buy one make sure to pop the radiator cap to see if theres any antifrease because you dont want water in the oil

good, getting it for a little cheaper only because I have a limited amount of money right now. I have BARELY enough for the bike and gas to get there and back. Once I get back I will have no gas or money and I dont get paid till the end of the month. Wont even have enough money to ride it. Ill figure somthing out  Laugh

Start it ride it. Check fluids after warm up. Coolant should be clean. Trans oil should look like oil not choc milk. Shocks should not be blown out.(read pogo stick) (shocks are $$$). No start, no buy...

the water pump will be bad and leak coolant into the case and make the oil look like milk. we bought a honda 80 once and that happened to it and it cost 800 to fix it.

Ok, I will do that. Just curious, whats the top speed gunna be like?

really fast. they haul. and get there even faster. be careful.

i dont think they will go 90 unless the gearin is custom but id say 70-75 maybe 80. we had a full race 85 (custom built engine, suspension, all the bolt on parts and stuff) and it only went like 50 maybe 55.

No, old school 2 stroke bikes will do over 80mph. If the oil is milky you can fix it yourself for less than 50$. Just have to buy a few seals. Mostly the water pump seal goes bad and coolant is getting into the crankcase. To check the top end just kick it slowly to feel the compression on the up and downstroke. Depending on how long its been since the last overbore chances are it would need one. Compress the forks as much as possible then visibly check if the forks have any oil on them. If not then, the shocks are good. Be careful, even though its a 2 stroke, 250's have some low end and once the powerband hits you better hold on.  -Mark

check the radiator cuz if it is dry that means a seal went out and if its the ceank seal that means that the crank shaft sezed up ant thats a lot of work and its expensive. thats what happened to eric5555's RM 85 and it was not funn
