Seriously to tell me to do the math is crazy. Legal riding vs non legal riding.
Kid or adult the rule is the same.

When someone states they know it is not a legal riding area, then does a post to say cops hate quads big and small just irritates me. Cops don't like any rider who has been told before espically by the same cop not to ride somewhere!

The point I am making is Scratchup has obvisouly been told not to be there before - correct me if I am wrong. I am not talking about the dirt bike guys espically since no one will ever know what the cop told him. He could have very well told them to be gone before he got back too. Maybe someone called before and complained about the quad being there and not the dirt bike. Who knows. Either way you have been told before not to be there. The cop seemed pretty fair to not ticket you or take the bike. But you are right the cop was in the wrong   Roll Eyes ....seriuosly.

No offence, but you really seem to have it out for Chino, does he have some freaky pics of you or what? Maybe you should have taken the time to read between the lines, the only quad touching dirt was a 50cc mini, & it was mine. Chinos quad was never unstrapped from his trailer & the gate never down! Your argument is coming down to unfounded accusations & is losing ground. Last time I checked it wasnt illegal to park your truck on any empty stretch of sand with a quad ON THE TRAILER! As for the dirtbiker, he was there as well a 2 yz125's after we left, so if the cop told them to leave or get a ticket like he told us, They are either ignorant & deaf & enjoy paying tickets, or just told the truth to us about what he(the cop) said. In a pessimistic life you assume the worst & everyone is a liar & your glass is always half empty. I like to think mine is half full. Lighten up a bit, we did nothing wrong & we didnt get ticketed & neither did the MX guys, but they actually kept riding after we left. When we stated to the officer we werent riding, just testing for a sale, my 8yr old son & Chinos young daughter were standing right there next to his truck as well, he should have lightened up on us & said finish up & no hot dogging, then leave, that would have been the reasonable thing to do & we wouldnt have this thread, but he chose to pull rank & make a demand to us & not the 2wheelers which was obvious by them riding on the pipe(not putting) as he pulled away & after we left. Now I really think you should at least try to "do the math" on this fact & quit insinuating we are liars.

Yeah - he has naked pics of me - grow up - read what I have written and stop trying to see something that is not there!

Let me clarify this again for those who still think my way of thinking is out of line. I have nothing out for Chino - I thought him and his family were nice people.

My issue was never with Chino or what happened out there. My issues was with the post   (I am entitled to an opinion) and how people instantly start to insult the cops for doing their job.

The point I was making was the cop is not wrong for telling someone to leave, espically since he has told the same person before to leave! Thats the key here - told in past to leave, comes back, gets upset he is told to leave again. I am not loosing ground on my argument. You can keep reiterating (sp) your story as again I don't care about what happened out there. To make a post bad mouthing a cop or state/make rude comments about someone in law enforcement doing their job - when someone knows damn well not to go out there is uncalled for - THAT IS THE POINT I WAS MAKING! You are right I must really need to do the math.

I am so sick of people bitching about the police and how wrong they are. Yet when someone HAS BEEN PREVIOUSLY TOLD NOT TO BE OUT THERE - and goes again (regardless of what else is going on out there) and comes on here and whines because a dirt bike rider was not told to leave (which no one knows since no one was there to hear the conversation) is just not right.

Also I never have insuinated (sp) you or Chino was a liar. What unfounded accusations have I made?

Chino - if you feel i have insuinated you are a liar - I'll buy ya freakin beer man.

Doing your job is one thing, doing it unfairly is another. If it is illegal for me then it is illegal for them. As for you not insinuating we are lying, you keep saying the dirt bikers story could be a farce. I guess you feel the guy is a complete moron & likes to pay tickets & resist officers blatantly!!!!(which is definitely ILLEGAL) We were told to leave & did so, he(the dirtbiker) kept riding as the cop was still leaving the parking area in plain view, so why would the older guy lie to us & look completely surprised that we were told to leave? Please answer that one. When I pulled out I saw the deputy inthe F150 coming back westbound right in front of the beach & the dirtbikes were still there but no attempt to stop them. Chino apparently knew not to ride his quad there as it was NEVER unstrapped from the trailer. We are talking about a kids quad & 2 little kids standing there watching & listenening to a representative of Law Enforcement pulling rank & assuming we were there to ride. I wasnt happy, but the kids were much more upset by this. You can keep hashing this, but the story is the same & wont change. Maybe we should just agree that you are right & thats that Kiss

What the hell are you talking about? Seriously have you actually read any of my posts. I never said nor implied that the dirt bike riders story was a farce - stop making sh*t up! Read all of my posts I think most of them state - WE WILL NEVER KNOW WhAT WAS SAID TO THE DIRT BIKE GUYS AS NONE OF US WERE THERE WHILE COP WAS TALKING TO HIM! Stop seeing stuff that isn't there man.

To answer your question - I have no idea. Chino has had previous encounters wether it be one or more with the cop in question. Gee ya think that could be why the cop again told him to leave again as he had in the past?

You are absoutely correct - the story won't change. Illegal area to ride a quad, was told to leave by the same cop that has told the same person to leave in the past, but the real issue you 2 have is: IT WASN'T FAIR. So lets act like kids and say the cops hate quads, post a thread to get others to jump on the bad wagon about how cops suck! That is the bottom line! Doesn't get any clearer than that.
Post away I have nothing further to say - your were correct in saying I am right -you have no point other than it wasn't fair!

I'm done with this - ya want me to buy you a beer too? No scarsam I'd love too!  Kiss

I have to admit, I made some comments on this post that were not appropriate and very short minded. My comments were based on pure sarcasm, therefore I removed them.  Speaking more appropriately, there will always be bad apples in every bunch just like in our bunch.

Whats the big deal here? Nothing legal can be done about it and I can gurentee the Sherrif's office wont give a rats ass about someone complaining about one person being asked to leave and someone else not to. Theres no evidence besides word of mouth and they have more important things to do. Go find another open field to test ride an 80cc 4-wheeler in. And no, not all cops are honest. But that is a good thing sometimes. Everytime the cops have caught us fourwheeling(trucks or atv) they simply ask us to leave. If we're doing something illegal but still give them respect, it's a simple tresspassing warning and they let you on your way.

I had no problem with him enforcing the rules.Whether or not he reckognized me or not,you don't tell me not to ride and let somone else ride there in my face.Along with the other two riders.I saw what I saw. The first rider kept on riding in front of the cop, and then the other two pulled up and he said nothing.
Maybe my initial post was a little broad...but would would you expect if you were done the same?

Grin All good here, just a debate to me. I am definitely not a cop hater & I understand its they're job. Although it did appear he was more lenient on the bikes, thats all this started as. No hard feelings to anyone not even the cop. Like I said it was still a good day for all involved.

Loven It, I'll take a heineken & the next ones on me.

yeah right, last time we got caught by the cops i pulled up next to the officer and before i even had a chance to explain why we were riding there austin threw a beer bottle at the cruiser and screamed "screw the future of ohv parks!" and tore off on his bike.  respect, i think not. watch out for that guy

Geez, I don't know why anyone had to get worked up-Loven It!! You have your opinion;true.I just posted what mine was because of what happenned.Your luck may be better when it comes to police...good for you.You insulted me by saying I'm a kid for saying what I said, and I'm whining?   My opinion is mine.I didn't post this for you to insult me.
What happenned had it's affect, and it won't change. The whole thing was about doing the right thing ,and he didn't do that.
They want a good repoir with me, then they need to respect me.I didn't go out there to break the law or disrespect any police, and that's what your making this out to be.
Yes I've been run out of there before, but I WASN'T riding.Everyone get's upset when anyone says anything bad about Law Enforcement...there people just like us.Just cause they wear a badge doesn't make them saints;they do wrong also!!If it's your team, cheer them on!
