Hey guys went riding yesturday at the holeylands, and just wanted to let everyone no that the "SOUTH" side of the levy is closed until April 30. because of nesting. we got a Warning yesturday and next time its a 285$$ FINE!!! it crazy but Im sure not paying that so, I'll stick to the North for now. BTW is really dry out there, but there are some nasty spots that will eat your bikes.

Correction...It is the "North" side that is closed.... North is Holey Land. South is Francis Taylor, which is not closed. The only time it is closed is for high water. giving the deer a chance to see dry land.

The pictures I just looked at show it looks dry out there.  It looks like that thick sticky mud when it drys up.  Its the dry season how can the water be high?  What kind of stories are the FWC making up now to keep us out?  They have been doing nothing but pissing us off for the past year with all the closures in South Florida.

Read it again...North is closed...not south. They dont't close the south. only in high water situations...not now.

and the FWC folks I talked to today were very nice... NOT trying to kick us out or pissing any of us off....unless you were breaking the law. Lt. John Reed.... Nice guy.

Well when I was there just last weekend, we were on the south side and thats the side they said was closed off, not the north. because of nesting.

They cannot close the south side because people have camps there ( such as the Bergerons) Only time they close the south side is  for high waters. What piss of the FWC is the trash that people leave behind and the racing and wheely on the levy . By the way this land is our we are tax payer lets keep it that way.  On my way out I brought back a bunch of trash with me.
