Man, How many accidents have to happen before these idiot parents start making a helmet as mandatory as GAS? ? ? ? ? These idiots just do not know what the hell is going on, they remember the gas can and they remember the kids but for some reason the helmet is the last thing they even bother to put helmets in the back seat!!!!!!!!!
They should be arrested and the kids should be given to some one with a brain-who was the smart guy who thought that putting a 24 month old baby with a 6 year old baby on a quad(do not care what size it was !)by a road and let them ride with out a helmet-I hope i am not the only one who sees all of the stupidity in this story.
My prayers go out to the children and for and angel to come and slap the parents with some sense!!!

Some people should not be parents. How stupid to let a 6 yr old ride a 2 yr old on a quad. Even if it was in the back 40 acres and you standing there watching over them. Then these people live next to a main road. STUPID AND DUMB

The accident occured in a low-income residential area in Pompano Beach, nowhere near any riding areas although there are several large empty lots along NW 31 Avenue (the main road the children crossed). It's a miracle they made it across the road to hit the wall in one piece. The mother has been arrested for felony child neglect. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/broward/sfl-atv26nov26,0,2807930.story?coll=sfla-news-broward

Stupid hurts ,to bad it was the children and not the parents.I sure hope the kids will be ok,I think the parents should do so jail time or at least community service .Maybe parents buying kids bikes should have to watch a video on what can happen when children wreck on atv's wearing no helmet, and are allowed to ride unsupervised. After the video the parents should have to pass a I.Q.test and common sense test.

That is so awful. I hope she does lose cutody of those precious kids. We have two daughters (4 and 7) that ride with us. And they wear helmets!!!! And of course, we would never allow them to take off like that. Stupid; Stupid; Stupids. They are very fortunate that those children were not killed.

Child Crashes ATV, Mother Charged
POSTED: 7:26 am EST November 26, 2006
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- Authorities arrested the mother of a 6-year-old who was caught driving an A-T-V that crashed today and injured a 2-year-old passenger.
Broward County Sheriff's deputies say the 6-year-old girl was driving the A-T-V with her younger cousin when she crossed five lanes of traffic and crashed into a warehouse. The girl was treated for minor injuries and released.
The 2-year-old was airlifted to the pediatric intensive care unit at a nearby hospital.
The mother, Alicia Frazier, of Pompano Beach, was charged with one count of felony child neglect. Authorities say she faces additional charges, including traffic violations.
The 6-year-old's grandmother was granted temporary custody.

About damn time a parent was charged! More and more parents need to be charged with Felony neglect when these horrible accidents happen. It is a parents JOB to protect your children.

Freaking idiots!!! Which reminds me of the idiot parents we saw on our friends PRIVATE track. They just came along with their children on seperate quads riding over the jumps all without helmets!! How freaking stupid can you be? That's when you know a parent has no regards for the safety of their children. Some people should not even be allowed to own a pet ....Yet they have children?
