went riding today and had fun for about 4 laps! my new clutch i put in last tuesday got smoked! what ever you do DONT EVER BUY A BARNNETT DIRT DIGGER CLUTCH PLATES! my stock plates lasted almost a year and this thing last an hour!

yeah i have heard both good and bad things about the dirt digger. if i were you i would get the hinson 9-plate. i have had it in my motor with 80+ hours on it and im still pulling holeshots!!!

most likely i will do one or the other. i am so mad i paid all that money for that kit and it burns up in a hour of riding!  Angry

those are nice pics .I would contact barnett about the problem .If they are a good company they will make it right .If they were all bad you would think they would redesign it or $h!t can it all together.Its worth a call anyway.Maybe they had some bad friction material.Did they suggest any type break in procedure?any ways it sucks planning on having a good riding day and it's short lived due to mechanical failure of a new part.

thanks! well i just installed  a new hinson pressure plate and basket on tuesday too now all i need is the plates!  Wink if i was getting a new plates from barnett it is deffinately getting sold! already thought of that! hahaha hey anybody need a new yfz clutch plates? j/k hahahahhaha

i have the full hinson setup but i still use the stock pressure plates. i have tried the others and they dont stand up like the stockers

I have tto agree. I spoke with the folks at Hinson and based on the phone conversations and emails these folk got it together and are on the cutting edge.

Even with a strong motor they should have lasted longer than 1 hr.  Undecided something Failed. Sorry about the short day that always sucks. They should make it right for you. Good luck.
