Ocala and Hunting Season (Nov 11th)

My wife and I recently took a trip up to West Delancey to check out the parking area and access to the North OHV trail system. Everything looks great! You pay 6.00 dollars to park and ride until sunset.
One potential problem!! The hunting area (Lake Delancey Mgmt Unit) is in the same area as all the trails!!!! This is what we are trying to avoid-taking the family into an area with hunters being angry that you scared away their deer?
Is this going to be a problem or am I over-reacting (being safe)??

See, that's why I don't ride at Ocala anymore...I donated my money to the cause, but "TRAIL MANAGEMENT" should require some common sense...don't put the RIDING TRAILS in the HUNTING AREA and vice versa.
Ocala National Forest is huge, and it's plenty big enough to have a seperate area for riding and hunting. It just makes sense.
Anyway, that's my opinion.

I don't think you are being overly cautious at all,,,,I have been shot at several times riding in ONF,,,,,far from that area, but nevertheless, in ONF.
I have stuck to a rule of keeping my riding times between 10am and 3pm during hunting season and have seemed to avoid the gunfire.
I would stay out of the dog-hunting areas all-together,,,,,1. because they hunt at pretty much any time, and 2. they are usually good at hitting a fast moving target.

Glad to report that we rode the "Longleaf trail" over the weekend and it was great!!
Very nice trail and plenty of markers to keep you on-track. The only problem was at the Rodman pit where we rode around in the pit area and rode out the north side following everyone else towards the Rodman dam road. Luckily there were some volunteers that steered us back on-course. All we had to do was to go back out the same way and continue on the trail. It was a little dry in some areas but will be better after some rain. Going to try some of the new trails this weekend.
Thanks to the ONF and all the volunteers!!!
