I know some of you have never thought about racing. We have utility classes, too.
So get a helmet. Gets some boots and challange your friends to have a go around this course. It is a blast.
Good family fun for everyone.
Make sure if you are bringing your kids to try this out that you equip them with a hydration pack. It is important to drink out there. Water is the best with a little of your favorite Gatoraide. Do the same for yourself for sure.

I'd like to see how I might do racing the rancher. Never been racing though, is there a begginners utility class? Is there age limits?

there was 1 rider in 0-400cc utility class
and 7 riders in 401 + CC utility class

so pretty much you will have the track just about all by yourself till around the last lap when the C class laps you.  if you've never been it's a blast like I say you will not ride a course laid out like a FTR course, too much fun..

Paul, I am glad you decided to try one of these out. You said it best. I remember the first timew I rode in one was only four short years ago in Clewsiton. I was hooked. Everything set up for us to ride. Different places around the state on private property. I know I've said this a time or two, but where else can you go all over the state on private property with the owners permission and ride?? AND if you go the extra mile and help host one of these events you get even more rtiding without the racing. AND most of the time you camp out on a work weekend.    Don't have to be a nerd to figure out this is a recipie for some fun.
Some guys don't race, they just ride and get out of the way of the racers.
Anyway, since this developed for quads and is a "Quad Only" event, we have classes for all ages beggining at 4 years old. There are cc/age restrictions and 50" width rule. The pee-wee course is seperate from the big boy course.
There are begginers utility classes as well as full race utility classes. Those are neat. The utility class is expected to grow the most.

Just my 2-cents, but utility quad racing KICKS A$$ and is a blast, try it and you will be hooked, before they changed it to a one day format I had alot of fun racing utility on saturday on my twin-peaks 7000 and vet class on sunday with the YFZ450, so I would say to anyone with a utility quad to give it a try you wont be dissapointed.....

Yes it's preference. I tried all Gatoraide and found it hurt my stomach halfway through and I really craved H2O.

I mix half gatorade and half water for the fact it made my stomach feel really heavy...
