Getting parts from the factory is as bad as Polaris. I have been waiting on a back ordered CDI for 4 months.

Took us a while to get the rear bumper in and the little bushings that hold the exhaust on fell out.. Most of these parts are made in canada so I guess it takes a little while. So far, 750 miles. 0 Problems that weren't our fault. The pull started got muck in it that we had to take off and clean out, we sunk it.. and the belt got wet twice, once we were just able to drain it out and the other time we had gotten it wet when we sunk it so I decided to tow it home so we could clean everything out before running it again.

The 400 is a good bike. Is it a Manuel or Auto? and what year is it? I have never had problems getting parts, the best place I found to get parts was www.alpha-sports.com for AC's. The only thing most people don't care for is the 400 has a high geared reverse in like the 04+ models which makes it a little hard to back out of a deep mud hole.

ohh yea its Arctic Cat Wink

I friend that I ride with has a 2005 arctic cat 400 with automatic. It seems to be a good quad and he seems to like it well. Has not had any problems and he has ordered accessories from his original dealer and not had any problems getting them.

just bought a 2006 auto 4x4 for my girlfriend based on the performance. their best sell in the line and i see why.

enjoy.

Guys I have an 02 400 4x4 and have never ever had a problem at all I think this bike is the best and I am not the cleaning detailing kind and I put it through hell and never as much as sputtered but that may be just luck of the draw. My buddy has an 01 for parts I found him and think it is the best www.discountarticcatparts.com if this is not right just google it but I think it is accurate.

Sounds like the 400 is a better performer than the 500. I don't understand that all the specs on A/C are real close. I'm hoping to get another Quad in the future. Something for rock climbing and technical type trails. The A/C is one I'm considering because of the locking diff. and the longer warranty. I just can't decide 400 cause it's lighter , or the 500, or maybe the 650 for the power. Any suggestions ?
