My eiger keeps blowing the ignition fuse.Could it be a bad relay? Should relay switches make noises and pops when starting bike?  couldnt find any shorts in the wiring as far as i could see. any suggestions would be appreciated !! Flaming Flaming Flaming Flaming Flaming Flaming Flaming

Hey Dave,  Did you take all of the plastics off and see if there was a wire pinched??  The only time I've seen a relay click when starting is when the battery was dead or the starter was bad.

check the rear brake light switch..(the one on the foot pedal) for some crazy reason they use the same circuit, they short to ground through the center (where the spring attaches to the pedal)

Any mishaps or accidents prior to this happening? Stick or log or rock hit the machine, in the area of wiring, hard lately?
Next time its idleing..start wiggleing the wire harness, is very small sections. If you can get the fuse to blow by wiggleing specific areas, then look for a wire with the insulation exposed to the frame or other ground.

The relay clicks and the fuse blows at the same time , i held the relay and waited for fuse to pop, when it did you could feel some thing in relay pop violently.  by the way thanks for the 8 mile tow service Carl.  Ill try the foot brake switch Uncle rico, thanks                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    grassman      Bang Head Bang Head Bang Head

Unclerico ,  you were completely right  it was the brake switch.  It was grounding out of the switch and through the spring to the frame.I cant thank you enough i was racking my brain on this one. Any way enough but kissing have a good one.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                grassman
