Has anyone else heard the song ".. And he takes the tractor another 'round, another 'round, another 'round.." That song. I hate. That. Song. Not sure who plays it. Most of Alan Jackson's and Kenny Chesney's music is awesome.

Those stupid "swing batter" and "Honky Tonk b-dunk a whatever" songs are the worst ever created. If you have an IQ over 11, I can't see you being able to listen to them. Even when I hear just a part of those songs I want to stick knives into my ears.

I'm not a big country music fan, although, I do wear a 10 gallon hat and a handlebar mustache when I shop at Publix.

However, I must say, that new Kenny Chesney album is excellent beer drinking music.

Although, I am partial to Old School Country Music, ie Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, etc.

I'm not into the whole East Coast vs. West Coast Country Music war. I don't want to perpetuate that type of violence.

Ya all forgot to mention Gretchen Wilson!!!! I am usually not crazy about female singers, but I think her songs rock and she does have a really authentic country voice.  Kind of reminds you of Patsy Cline on her slower songs.

Love the New Alan Jackson song, I think it's called Like Red on a Rose.  One of the few songs my husband says reminds him of me, got me a good man.... Wink.

Love all of Alan Jackson stuff.  Toby Keith Rocks.  Although he aint put nothing out in a while, Garth Brooks must have one of truest voices and man he is great in concert.  I used to love Belamy Brothers (i know spelling).  Oh yea, Keith Anderson. Remember Seminole Wind, that song was awesome.

I might live in hialeah but i was raised with my aunt and thats what she listened to.lol.

Today's country music............dont get me started. I dont know which is worse, groups like rascall flats and artists like Keith Urban or the stupid radio stations that play a good song literally 5 times in a day and wear it out and make it just annoying to hear. George Strait is the man, his new song "Give it Away" is a good song. Im missing Tim's Indian Outlaw and Watermelon Crawl type of music, he is PW'd big time. Toby Keith, he is getting away from the true country music, going to the pop country I think. Gretchen Wilson is a spark to the female country artist world. Trace Adkins........i miss his Rough and Ready and That aint my truck type of music. Brooks and Dunn they aint goin anywhere they still produce great music. Garth Brooks is just the man and always will be. I could go on and on, but it is time to go out.

John Anderson, and he is awesome. Has a ton of good songs. Wink I agree with Anoriginal, that stupid "swing batter batter swing" song sucks. Some of the bands have good songs, but some of them are horrible.

I'll chime in on this topic.  I'm in there with the old school crowd.  The good songs today were good years ago when I was growing up, and those before that.  Some unfortunately have passed on, God bless 'em.

Hank, Hank Jr., George Straight, Johnny Cash, David Allen Coe, Alabama, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Don Williams, Crystal Gail, etc.  Newer artists worth mentioning are Brooks & Dunn, Josh Turner, Garth Brooks, Alison Krauss and Union Station, and Allen Jackson

The problem with today's country is that the freakin' producers and record companies want to appeal to the widest range of listeners.  Because all they care about is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.  They sleep well at night turning out pop culture crap. If you're the artist are you going to go against the machine when money is waved in your face?  Their are a few good new artists that I would classify as country, but for the most part it's pop dance music beat with country song lyrics or to put it bluntly,it's Sh!t

Lake Mary Kid Pretty much sumed it up for me. and everyone say Hank Williams Jr. , how about Sr..???There's a Tear in My Beer. Personally Sammy Keshaw is one of my favorites, what girl wouldnt fall in love with you if you told her you'd make her the queen of your double wide trailer.  thats how Uncle Rico got his first wife until he brought her home to that travel trailer in the sky.
