Sorry if this a repeat, I have never posted a topic or a reply to a topic and I've had an account since 2005.
I will be purchasing an ATV this month and I'm thinking rubicon or a yamaha? Can one of you ATVips tell me the difference between the rincon and rubicon?  Thanks in advance

Rincons are a nice quad if you NEVER take them in the mud, the problem is I've heard they are having issues with the Torque Convertor slipping and over heating the quad.

The Rubicon is a GREAT bike, its a work horse.

Also take a look at the Suzuki line of quads too, they are bad AZZ....

i have never even heard of the converters slipping, as far as overheating, the radiator screen clogs up, just take your hand and wipe the mud off. the rubis are lower geared though. we have a rincon and i like it, alot of power. differences between the 2 are the IRS and power mainly. some dealers will let u test drive, maybe u should do that.

What do you plan on using it for? Trail, mud, work, hunting? There's alot of quads out there depending on your purpose. IMO, I won't be going with a honda again because I need a locker too bad.

Does honda have IRS yet? The off road cops told me they were given one of the new honda ATV's and it didnt even have IRS and it was a rough ride compared to the grizzly's they usually ride.

I have been asking around and think I'm getting the rubicon. I ride all the time at work so I'm in no hurry, just want something that will last and not break down much.

woodsmans nod for your feed back. THANKS
