That's horrible. I especially liked the one where they play music to scare away the fish. I'd immediately pump up our sterio with country music blasting loud as possible to scare away the idiotic tree huggers. They are planning to steal from stores to keep people from buying stuff, and that is stupid, immoral, and against the law. Some people just don't deserve to live in this country. I'm emailing them.

These are the kind of people who don't respond to harsh talk, they will only perceive it as ignorance.

Thrumud, thanks for posting.  I'm a new hunter and have never 'killed' anything.  I prefer to call it nature watching w/ a gun.  It's called hunting not killing.  Their organizations think we are just out killing for no reason.  I know the ecological benefit to limiting the over population.  Those of us that understand hunting know that only a certain amount of hunting licenses are sold based on the population expectation.  These numbers are based on figures given by the Game and Wildlife.  As hunters we are more concerned w/ the environment than most tree huggers.  We also as ATVers get deeper access to the woods and see more real wild life up close and personal than they will ever see.

After reading your post I immediatly contacted the NRA and posted both links in their contact us section.  We as individuals can't fight these people.  The NRA is strong by membership and money and if action needs to be taken they will do the job.  Posting comments derrogatory to their opinion on their website will do no good.  Send these links on to all powerful hunting organizations.

I am not an avid duck hunter but I am a member of Ducks Unlimited and will be forwarding these links to them as well.  Those that are like us please do not bother to post on their site.  They will respect our opinion no more than we respect theirs.  Get this message to the large hunting organizations with financial influence.

Here's my letter to DU:

I am a member of Ducks Unlimited though I am not an avid duck hunter.  I am a hunter of other species.  I recently read a couple of websites that are disturbing and ignorant of our efforts.

I am sending these to you as well as the NRA because both are powerful organizations that can fight against this ignorance.  We all know that the 'hippy tree huggers' do not understand that those of us that hunt are more conservation friendly than most groups.

I hope this information will help inform you to another group that doesn't fully understand the environmental aspect of hunting licenses and ecology.

My e-mail to the NRA:

I am a new hunter but other members of my family and all of my friends are hunters.  I am an avid outdoor enthusiast and ATVer.  One of of my sites I recently discovered this site.

I am not aware if you are familar with this but think it is of importance to all that enjoy the sport of shooting and hunting.  I do not know of any organizations powerful enough to fight against this thought or organization other than the NRA.

I'm sure you are barraged with e-mails of similar groups.  It is vitally important that groups with the financial and member backing fight this ignorant thought towards hunting.

I am not a member of the NRA but I am an active member of Ducks Unlimited.  I understand like most of us the need for conservation.  Most of the people that post these websites do not realize the full potential and ecological relationship that we have as hunters.

If you are not familiar with these sites please check them out and fight their ignorance.

I'm not a hunter. I have no desire to kill another living thing.

That being said, I support other people's right to hunt responsibly, and I'll eat the hell out of some back strap.

I hate to see orginzations like that use illegal tactics to spread their message or inhibit other people's freedoms.

I think it's important though, for hunters to NOT respond in kind, and be provoked into making ignorant statements, or acting out in illegal fashion. Remember, YOU DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO HUNT, and no one has taken that away from you (although it seems like they've been trying to forever).

I'd hate to see hunters get a bad name for acting out against the sabateurs by using violence or illegal means.

I'm  pretty sure the FBI monitors all ecoterrorists and their actions, so don't let it get too bent out of shape.

Have a good season fellas! (and gals)

P.S. (I'm not sure if QT should be carring a gun, I'm  pretty sure she's a blonde)
