You would think someone with so much passion for motorcycles with have a little more respect for the road. Seeing as most motorcycle crashes are the other persons fault. Trying to Pass two cars on a double yellow line? Thats just dumb.

This is not good, no matter who was the driver. Prayers for the dead rider and his family. It is ironic a guy who was a major player in the bike building world, killed a guy on his bike.

I hate to say it, but if true, this story does not suprise me. Every show I havewatched with Billy Lane, he has come off very arrogant and like the world revolves around him. He glorifies the "biker" mentality of trying to act like some hard core person. He is known for driving reckless on his bikes (by his own admission) so why would it be any different for him to drive reckless in a vehicle? My heart goes out to the family who lost their loved one. That individual was the innocent one in all of this. Now as far as Billy goes, possibly the reason why he is secluding himself is because of the remorse and guilt he feels. Taking an innocent life because you were doing something stupid and careless is going to effect you but what Billy needs to realize is those are the consequences to that life you glorified of living life wreckless with no abandon. When he was out trying to live life allhard core, he probably never thought about the consequences to others by his actions nor did he probably ever even think about how it would effect himself as well as others by his actions. If he was or was not drunk, what he did was manslaughter and with that, there is consequences that he will have to answer too. I will say this though. Maybe this is Billies wake up call! Billy is not beyond Jesus' grace and forgiveness and maybe through this unfortunate event, he will open his eyes to The Lord. In this post, I may have come off sounding a little harsh on Billy for his actions but I am also praying for him! No doubt he too has been effected by killing an innocent man!

How do you know he is not a christian? Pretty arrogant of you to assume that. Just because someone drives/rides wreckless doesnt mean they are bad people. I am sure you have done so on your quad.

Well for starters, the Bible says we will know a Christian by their fruits. Or in other words, their actions. If you look at what Jesus said a Christian would be, it goes against how Billy portrays himself. Now is Billy not able to be saved? No, and I never said he was beyond Gods grace and forgiveness. In fact, I clearly stated in my first post right after I said maybe this is Billy's wake up call that he was not beyond God's grace and forgiveness so if you read the entire post instead of jumping to conclusions, you would have seen otherwise. This is also why I stated I am praying for Billy. Hopefully through this ordeal he will come to know Christ!
Last, I actually have never ridden wrecklessly on my YFZ. I ride it in a legal riding area and because my skills suck I am very conservative in riding it. But what does that have to do with Billy driving drunk or wreckless at best and passing vehicles on a double yellow line and as a result killing an innocent man?

You are correct in what you said about Jesus dying for all sins 2000 years ago but it is now up to us to accept that gift or reject it. Jesus will not force any person to go to Heaven that does not want to be their. In order to get their, it requires us to ask Him for that forgiveness and He will freely give it too us. But then from their, it is a life changing thing of dying to our flesh and growing in our walk with Christ. If you look at the teachings of Jesus, for every onetime He mentioned Heaven in the New Testament, He mentioned Hell 3 times as much. In Matthew 7 He speaks on the way to Heaven is narrow but broad is the path to destruction. So even though Jesus did die for every persons sins, unfortunately most will reject His plan of Salvation. Cooincidentally, this was what I preached on last Sunday. I also have the same sermon posted over at
www.quadsforchrist.net
Jesus wishes for no man to perish but Jesus will not take away mans free will to reject or accept Him and how He has said we must live if we want to get too Heaven. If you don't want to follow God's laws here on earth, what makes you think you will wan to to follow them in eternity? Since Heaven will be filled with those that wanted to serve God how He has said, the ones that choose to reject His ways will have their eternity in Hell with Satan and his demonion. But it does not have to be that way!

I'm sure the family of the man that died are really happy that God chose to take the life of their loved one so that Billy could have a wake up call and have the opportunity to see the error of his ways and open his eyes to the Lord. I'm sure that Billy's spiritual well being is so much more important that the life that he took.
By the way, why don't you pray for the family that lost someone rather than for the jerk who killed him??? I'm pretty sure that the dead man was effected by this much more than Billy was.

Right wrong or indifferent life happens the way it is supposed to. Some live some die and in the end we all hope that a lesson is learned. Fortunately, most lessons are learned w/o a death. This is a sad event for all. But to the best of my knowledge this is not a time to be judgemental of anyone. This is not the time to quote the bible and it's sayings. And unless your name is Jesus or God you have no right to judge others. To the best of my knowledge they wouldn't judge ppl either. Misfortune happens, and stupid happens, we ALL have made mistakes. We all will continue to make mistakes that's just life. Move on and don't judge unless you are judging yourself.

The Lord works in mysterious ways...(insert other non-sensical Christian cliche here, if so desired).
Jay Dog, I luv ya man, but I gotta say, your logic is a bit twisted. (Of course, I'm like Jesus, I love everyone, so don't let it go to your head)
I think you're confusing what you believe with what you know. There's a difference between "beliefs" and "knowledge". One should keep a strict dichatomy between the two.
It's dishonest when you start pushing your beliefs as factual knowledge. Not to mention annoying.
God Bless you all, (And for all our Muslim members...Fox17...A Salam A lakem...and for all our Jewish Members......I hear there's a 35% off sale at Pottery Barn this weekend).
