I've heard that it's private property and you're not allowed to ride out there.

I think they're clearing everyone out because as I understand it, it's primarily hunting land.

I don't know anyone who is selling property in that area. If you hear of someone, let me know. I might be interested in going in on a piece.

Yea its private property. You are allowed to ride there as long as you have a deed, or know someone who has a deed. All we need to do is find someone who owns a deed a get them to let us " USE " there property... Problem solved.

I have never been harassed out there. I go mostly at night though. mY buddy went out there one time during the weekday and had a guy in a truck beat his truck apart running him down and telling him to get out of there because he was hunting. Other than that no problems ever besides the occasional drunken fight lol.

I got to ride there once, on an invite from a owner.

I would never go there without an invite.

Would you want strangers riding on your property? Not me.

They are really getting tuff out at rancho. Seems everytime I go there are
cops and fire trucks there for various reasons. People getting shot, cars
burned and catching the woods on fire. Then on top of that they are
checking for deeds too. I don't know for a fact but I was told you had
to own prop. not just use someones deed and sayso. Maybe time to go
back to croom or somewhere else.

I WOULD CHECK WITH POLK COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR I HEAR THERE ARE PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES THAT OWN PROPERTY OUT THERE. I MET A GUY OUT THERE 4TH OF JULY THAT OWNED TWO DEEDS BUT DID NOT WANT TO SELL ONE.

I am very interested myself in either purchasing a deed as well or becoming friends with mrbones if he gets one.

I am unable to find any info on Rancho on the web. If anyone can tell me a bit more about it I would appreciate it. How big is the place?

Sylvia Diaz in Miami has a 1.25 for sale $40,000 look up her name on the polk tax collector and then use the directory service to get her number. Need to stay out during hunting season the property owners do not appreciate the activity.

$40,000? Sylvia must be off her rocker!!! Thanks for the headsup. River Ranch is only around $4000 and there is area for riding year-round. Is Rancho not the same principle as River Ranch?

I have ridden at Rancho many times with never a problem. I have seen RV's and huge camp sites out there and tons of people. I have not been in three weeks because of no motor but I will proably go in two weeks. I do not have much of a choice since Croom does not allow side x sides.

i was just there this weekend and as long as you stay near the front during hunting season you should be fine i've spoken to several hunters out there and if you don't care about about a bunch of guys sitting in the bushes with rifles watching as you go by not even knowing they are there then i wouldn't worry about it and try to stay up front and give them the respect for the three months out of the year and abot the cops they have talked to me before but never asked for a deed or told me to leave

Isn't that the area with the no trespassing signs all around it? I think I went out to that place once but turned around after I saw the signs.
