How do you know if your steering stabilizer needs a rebuilt? Is one sign like leaking oil or something? This past saturday riding at some trials I noticed my stabilizer not really working, and when I checked it was dismantled form the clamp that held it on.
Is that a sign for a rebuilt? Or should It be ok when I re connect it?

It should be OK. You can test it. Pull on it slowly it should come out slow and smooth. Then try pulling on it harder and it should have a lot of resistance. The harder you pull on it the more resistance it should have.

if you make it all the way soft and then hard and dont notice a diff re build it.

i noticed that the non rebuildable ones last alot longer the the rebuildable. if your going to rebuild it put heavier oil in it.

The denton 7 way adjustable rebuildable.
Seems to have resistance every time I put it on a heavier setting.

I don't know that much about those when they go out. I run a WER. But when mine needed rebuilt, I kept having to turn it up for it to work and eventually i didnt even work when put on the highest setting. We rebuilt it and i was like new again.
