Don't  tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood anyway-but the  Hershey Man will know!

YOUR  AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH

This  is pretty neat.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes  less than a minute .
Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you  don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of  those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all,  pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate
(more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just  to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50  -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have  already had your birthday this year add 1756 ...

   If  you haven't, add 1755.

6. Now  subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit  number

The first digit of this  was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have  chocolate each week).

The next  two numbers are

YOUR  AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THIS  IS THE ONLY YEAR (2006) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT  LASTS.

I wonder how someone came up with that.

It was someone that has just a little more spare time than we do.

Hope this doesn't spoil the riddle for anyone, but...fun, yes, complicated, not at all, a simple table is all.  The current year is 2006, subtract the year you were born and you get your age (depending on whether you were born before or after today).  This riddle simply adds 100 times the number of times a week you eat chocolate to the year 2006.  for example, you choose 1 day, it adds 100 to 2006 or 2106, choose 2, it adds 200 or 2206...when you subtract the year you were born, the first digit will always be the number you chose.  see table below (yes i work with numbers for a living Wink)

# times eat                                   example
chocolate   X2   +5   X50   +1756   year born         times eat chocolate/age
1                 2   7   350   2106        2005                   101
2                 4   9   450   2206        2005                   201
3                 6   11   550   2306        2005                   301
4                 8   13   650   2406        2005                   401
5                10   15   750   2506        2005                   501
6                12   17   850   2606        2005                   601
7                14   19   950   2706        2005                   701
8                16   21   1050   2806        2005                   801
9                18   23   1150   2906        2005                   901
10               20   25   1250   3006        2005                  1001

Aww man..you had to show us the table...I was about to put this guy up for the Fields Medal.

What ever you do, don't explain the Fobanaci sequence to us...that would just ruin our day.
