I'm getting ready to buy new tires for the rear of my 2WD Foreman 500. I'm kind of torn between 26x12x12 Mud Lites and 26x12x12 ITP 589's. I'm keeping the stock wheels so the 589's might be the better choice since they have no sidewall and wont rub the fender or muffler.

What are ya'lls experiences with both tires? I'm never on pavement. Mostly mud, sand, and trails. Typical Florida terrain.

Because you have a 2wd I would recommend the Mudlites (if you intend to put them on all four corners)They are a good all around tire.589s are really a good mud tire but , are very heavy and rob alot of power. And considering you ride a honda, your gonna need all the power you can salvage. Wink

I would throw some 26" outlaws on the back, will do much better than any other tire out there in the mud.

I had the mud lites on my Vinson ...Loved them Wink
Now I have 589's on my KQ just because we had them at the house, Very rough ride Sad
I am going with Big Horns ASA$  Wink  Shortcut has them and they ride awesome  Smiley Trails, mud ....whatever.

BTW I think my 26" 589's stick out farther than my mudlites did?

I like the big horns ,good contact patch ,great traction and just an awesome trail tire.Yes , 589s are a little rough, but very effective.outlaws are excellent mud tires but, have a very rough ride and are very heavy, it really depends on what riding you want to do.

A rough ride doesn't really concern me since alot of our local trails are soft sand and mud. My friend has both the 589's and Mud Lites on both of his Foremans. I've only had a chance to see the 589's in action and they seem to do extremely well.

Yeah, I've talked to a few people that love the Mudbugs. They seem to be cheaper to.
