My girl and I will be all packed up and ready to roll out to Croom in the morning. I was wondering if I would need my FL registration sticker to be able to ride there, or I just pay the $50 for the Croom sticker.

Thanks

They ask for the title, but if you don't have it, they won't turn you away.

Oh and by the way, I noticed you said ur girl friend is going, just remeber dont let them catch you double riding. If you double (it is against the rules) go on to a trail where they wont yell at you.

I'm pretty sure I saw the two of you riding around...

She didn't loose a cell phone did she?  I found one on the trail, called "dad" and he said it was his daughters phone and he would get back with me.  Haven't heard anything.  I should've turned it in to the rangers at the gate, but I forgot...

A red Honda Recon.

Did you get lost?  I still get turned around.  I plan to buy a GPS so I can find my way around better.

GPS is a great investment. I just bought one just for Croom and I didn't get that lost there due to my ATV having a little bit of trouble. Yes I saw plenty of bikes there plenty of whoops for everyone.

Croom is a great place to ride sport bikes.  I don't know how wet the big sand pit is right now but there are always berms to jump off of  or pits to launch yourself out of in there.  Just be careful riding fast through the trails, you never know is somebody is going to be coming at you from an intersecting trail.

What GPS unit did you get and how did it work out there?  I'm thinking of buying one this week.  What happened to the Artic Cat?

I bought the Garmin GPS MAP 76 its great. As far as the ATV goes, I first had a dead battery and was able to pull start it, then I got the ATV a little but muddy ( which I thought that it was meant to get that way) I had engine trouble and lost all power to everything. I have to push it everywhere.

Don't go with the Garmin...that thing goes through batteries like a fat kid through cupcakes.

Definitely check an online comparison by Consumer Reports or the like.  Battery life is key when your lost in the middle of Ocala National. Trust me I speak from experience.

I bought the Garmin GPS MAP 76 its great.

I was looking at something like the Garmin etrex Legend... the blue one or the Magellan explorist 210.  I can't decide which one I should get. I know Garmin has a great reputation, but I would need to buy a $30 USB adapter for it and it only has 8mb of total memory. the Magellan has a USB cable and has 10mb of maps loaded with 22mb of additional memory.  I am completely confused.  Huh

UPDATE..... I got too itchy and bought the Magellan Explorist 210 at lunch.  Looks pretty cool so far.
