I am just looking for some other peoples ideas and suggestions on racing quads in the FTR series.

First is the 98DB limit, we had ours tested and they went from 95 to 105. So which one is used? The highest or lowest? I think the only way most could qualify is with the stock pipes. I just don't know what to think of this. Any body know for sure?
Second is classes, If we run A then we would have to run A at nationals if we go. If we runs B and do well in 2 or 3 then we would be bumped up to A. I have talked with several others that are in this same position? Any thoughts on this?
We would just love to run the FTR series as we really enjoyed it last year. It is a great series and coming up fast. We just want to race and this has 10 races close to us so it is hard to not go.
I hope the FTR does not take this in a negative way.

Did you get your quads tested at any of the events? When they tested mine they held a string so that the tester was the correct distance from the end and they had a device that measured the RPM's and when it got to a certian RPM, which I dont remember, they counted that measurement. My 250R was 108 at the time. Rossier has a pipe that you can put an end cap on that will meet the standards and I heard others were going to come out with them too.

As far as which class, they have an advancement point system. They go back to your last ten races and if you add up to 45 advancement points you have to move up. I think its like 10 for 1st, 7 for 2nd, 5 for 3rd or something like that. Lyndon is already at or near 40. If he goes over 45 before the halfway point he will have to finish in A , but if he goes over after the halfway he will have to up the following season.

I wanted to run FTR on the races that don't overlap the quad series or GNC but as of right now I cant afford a Rossi pipe by the first race in August  Undecided So I dont know...

Honestly watching Lyndon at the Bithlo race, I think he can run A at the nationals too. He doing is VERY WELL!!!  Cool

Put him in the A class. It will help him in the long run. Lecture
