I can't remember because it's been a while but, doesn't that have some sort of safety switch on the stock clutch perch? I did my friends in 2002 when he got his brand new. I will look at it tomorrow and let you know what we did. I think we spliced the wires together but I'm not positive.

this hapend to my freind. the stock lever has a switch that tells the rev box whene the clutch lever is puled in and only lets you start it whene puled in. the new lever doesent have this so the rev box doesent know that the clutch in puled or not. you need to fint that wire (its 2 wires) and just touch them together and it thinks the clutch is puled. so u need to just wire it like that

In other words...If you hook the wires up to a switch, it would be like pulling your clutch lever in before you replaced the perch. You could just find the wires and splice them together, just remember to pull your clutch lever in when you start up or you could be in for a big surprise.
