What do you all think of a Kawasaki KLR 650 for $2500

Right around 14,000 miles, blue in color, mint condition..

it is a 2006

Does this seem like a fair deal ?!?!

THANKS,
Tony

That's a very good deal!  Book value is $4000.  I would jump on it as long as it is legit.

it is from a local dealer, i just went in today and spoke to him about it, and he should be getting the bike back in his possession tomorrow.. it was a return from a customer who fell of a roof and broke damn near every bone in his body, and WONT be able to ride it..

A little 80 two stroke bike from '06 is worth that much.  For $2500 you almost can't go wrong as long as the bike is alright.

Yes this is a dual sport..

a few guys i talked to from work told me that is an awful lot of miles for an 06.. 14,000 in bout 8 months..

one told me i could prob get a used Cruising bike from Cycle Trader for around $1500 or so..

I am going to go by and check out the Dual Sport tomorrow, it may be worth it..

the same guy told me the only problem with getting a jap bike is resale value, the ONLY bikes that hold there value are Harley's and some BMW's

I am going to take my digital camera with me today, and take some pictures of the bike and get some other info from it, and will post it up on here..

I want this for a starter bike for say, until i can handle a larger cruising or touring bike.. The weight isnt much, and even if i lay it out, i wont really care THAT much..

Well you probably getting a good deal. Considering that its a japanese bike it is and will be a very solid and reliable bike for a long time. Im no motorcycle guy but I know bikes and quads have their roots together. The resale value wont be a whole lot because your getting it for 2500 dollars. The BMW's and Harleys are like 20,000 dollars. I guess you get what you paid for. Anyway I would get it unless its been wrecked or theres sea weed hanging off the handlebars and theres a live fish under the seat.
