That!!...is work well done!! Long live the ATC's!!
I took my '85 250ES Big Red up to Durhamtown, GA. to the 6 hour ATV Race a few weeks ago....came in 2nd place in the Iron Man Utility Class!!
Only 3 wheeler there....and all the Quad guys were really impressed with it. Oh yeah....it doesn't have front or rear brakes! Shhhhh!!
I'm hoping to acquire a 350X, or possibly a 250R.
Mr.Bones...was that a private sell, or from a dealer?

Private sale. I originally bought it from a guy in Ocala for $700. Good going with the racing! You gotta be a good rider to ride these things fast.

You did a great job on restoring that R. Glad to see other people taking the time and money to fix them up again, they are definitely worth it. We're gonna be at Eastbay raceway not to far out of Tampa in April, would be cool to have another trike in the mix or to just put a face with the name.

Update: I haven't ridden this beast in awhile so I'm thinking of selling it. I just have to clean off all the mud on it and install new fork seals, but other than that, it's good to go. There's 15 hours on the rebuilt engine, of which I replaced every bearing in the tranny and rebored the cylinder with a new piston. Reeds are new also. Also has all new plastics and OEM gas tank. I'll give a complete list of new parts, upgrades, etc. later. I just want to see if anyone is interested in buying it. But, I'm not going to give it away for dirt cheap either. I want to get at least $1800 out of it since that is what I got in it. I will sell to the highest offer. If not, I'll put it on ebay and get more. These things are very rare these days and we all know how fast they are, too. Here's some current pics:

It's actually not a short track tank, but an OEM replacement. It was the same size as the faded red one it replaced.

I took it to Croom yesterday. It was awsome in that super thick sugar sand in the south pit area as Croom is extremely dry right now. The photo says it all as I take a break in the north parking area.

Thanks.
No thats not dual exhaust. I bolted on a 400ex tool box on the left side to carry a wrench and spare spark plugs just in case I fowl one on the trails.

Here's video of the beast about 8 months ago. Hope to get some more video, soon. Especially since I'm better at riding it than I was back then. Also got the engine jetting better, too.
