Pics from Lakeland 7/1

[Ride1Rob]

Went back out to Lakeland today to get some riding in. 1st thing this morning after a couple of warm up laps I decided it was time to start hitting the jumps. Hit the double on the side and worked my around to one in the front. Was coming up to it and noticed that I didn't have enough speed . Was too late to back out so I gassed it. Did me no good! My rear tires didn't clear the face and it bucked me right over the handle bars and slammed me onto the ground. Luckily I wasn't hurt but my Man Card was pulled. What went wrong? I had hit this same jump 2weeks ago and didn't have this problem. Come to find out, I was only in 2nd gear instead of 3rd . Even though I knew what I did wrong, I was punked out. After talking w/ Brandon, Lyndon, Wayne, and Rich I built up the nerve to try it again. Guess what happened......

It was great to get hanging out with you guys tonite. Hanging out with good peeps is always good and hope to do it more often. Wish I coulda saw the race   . Didn't think that it'd end so soon. Well... Maybe next time.

Nice going Rob, I wish I could have seen you jump in person, So I can get the currage to jump that double in the front. Next time when I go out there I will be jumping every jump on the track or at least try to. Great Job buddy.

oh the one just after the double in front and the single table? thought that was more of a step up but maybe they changed it

It's the one on the south end before the hard righthand turn onto the backstretch. Most quads double then single it then make the turn. Lyndon was going over the stepdown in 3rd then hitting it pinned in 4th after the little curve.

im so confused lol is it the jump after the double and single table by the stands? the one just before you take that 180 degree turn and go to the back?

OK that is the problem. They practiced at Lakeland Saturday but then Lyndon raced at Bartow Saturday nite. That is where the triple is not at Lakeland. Sorry for the confusion.

A friend and I went out on 7/2 but got there as racing was starting (didn't even know it was a race day) so we ended up riding a local spot instead of waiting or riding a race with no practice on a track we've never been on. But it looks like a great quad track! I will definitely be going out there soon. Look forward to seeing you guys out there.

Good job Rob, its good to see you get it done.  Hopefully I will be back in about 6 or 7 weeks.  My wrist is healing good so I'm ready as soon as the doctor releases me.
