The trespassers caught in the Natural Area admitted to cutting the fence and were in possession of the cutting pliers used. Because they took responsibilty for their actions, they weren't charged with cutting the fence/criminal mischief and were only charged with trespass.
As for sbripple, he's entitled to his opinion. He claims to have met me, although I have no idea who he is. sbripple, you've claimed to have met me. I think I was referred to as "Rambo." Those I have met, ticketed and arrested on this website know better. I'm open to meeting with you to discuss this further and clear up any misunderstandings. Feel free to PM, put it on the forum, or call PBSO at (561) 688-3000 and leave a message.....D/S J. Gibson # 4091 PBSO Wildlands Unit.
How can we call this man a "punk"? I'd like to thank him, personally. I do alot of illegal wheeling myself(not "city-approved" trails) but never wheel in protected wetlands. If it has a sign to stay out or a fence around it then DONT GO THERE!
I think we will be hard pressed to get an OHV park anytime soon, so in the mean time we ALL need to obey the rules. Deputy Gibson was nice enough to let these 4-wheeling punks off with only a tresspassing warning. SBRIPPLE, can you tell me how much the fine and jail time is for breaking into and then destroying protected wetlands? I think it's something like 5 years in prison and $20,000 fine depending on the situation. To me, it sounds like this "punk" deputy let the,m off pretty F-ing easy.

a lot of speculation indeed. do not listen to 94hardbody4x4 he is a hipocrite, he has atleast 2 trespassing warrants that i know of and regurally takes his truck mudding at a designated WETLANDS area but hasnt yet got caught there. he likes to pick on people that have publicly done something wrong to make himself look like a respectable person. need proof? -
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/750555
- this is the website for his truck, hurry up and visit it before he edits or deletes it, he has the white truck underrneath the caption, "just tearing up the wetlands at 16th". that is another designated wetlands area that people in our area have been arested at. his opinion is that all of florida will be eventually subdivised for housing and it doesnt matter about florida's natural wildlife habitat. he has no respect for law enforcment and is only looking for a comment on this post after his that says something like, "good point or you tell that tresspassing punk." judge him on your own, i am just providing the facts. all of what i said is 100% true

xr arent you a little punk.wet lands are just good riding places.they arent wetlands anyhow they are land.just like where you live was once the same land.they drained it and made you a house.thats wetland distruction. a 4 wheeler is just wetland usage and go away happy.

Hey Hardbody. If you are going to post pictures of yourself riding in wetland areas, you shouldn't have your Florida license plate showed in the pics. Some enterprising law enforcement official might want to track down the owner of the white Nissan XE with Florida tag # A39 3BC. If you're going to be dumb, you better be tough, or rich, as the case may be.

Yeah, last I checked, not one of those places has a No Tresspassing sign. If ther eis a sign infront then I don't go there, like I said. The Salt Marsh, Back Lakes, Tripsons, Hobart, none of them have signs saying your not allowed to wheel there. They are all very popular local trails and if it was such a danger to the environment then you'd expect the police to do something about it. I do not wheel in Protected Wetlands. Back Lakes, John, is not a protected wetland. It's a dump with trails. Hobart is sand. Tripsons is just trails throught he woods. And the Salt Marsh, well, yeah, thats highly illegal I'm sure, which is the reason I have only gone there twice to wheel. LOL, and 16th is not wetyland you idiot! It's anorange grove with a crap-hole in the back.
And John, don't defend yourself, How many times have you gone with me through illegal trials?
xr100racer has gone to every illegal place on that site with me
. It's a fact of life that there is more illegal riding than legal. We're ot always destroying wildlife, but just riding "Non-City Approved" trails.
And another thing, When did I get all of these tresspassing warnings? Last I checked I had 1 verbal warning. And I have never brought my truck to those trails since.

You guys are funny. I think everyone here is old enough to be held accountable for his or her actions. If I go to the forest and get caught mudding in a clay pit, Boom, $525.00 fine. I was warned and now I stay away. I go to places that I can mud legally. I know that having areas off limits sucks but we as a group need to do what is right. Was the officer trying to be a D!<K? Maybe he was. Was he trying to be cool and let people know that the man would be watching that area? Maybe he was. Think about what you are doing. Be more responsible. Have fun. Thats the name of the game.

Restricted? restricted to what? If there's a sign on a fence and you're on the other side and can't see it - how do you know you are tresspassing? Why must I spend $2800 a year in property taxes for the Volusia county sheriff to fly around @ night in a helicopter w/ a spotlight looking for people riding thru the woods? Elections are coming up harass your local politicians & let them know how you feel & don't let up! Vote Libertarian and be responsible for yourself.

I have a VERBAL warning for 90th Trac and thats it. I have never brought my truck back there.
But thats besides the point, I think this topic has lost it's original meaning and now everyone is starting to bash eachother.
BTW, I do poach albino mongoose while mudding on my 4-wheeler, lol. Good one.

Ok, well, if you want to spend the time for me and black all those pictures then please do it. I only put those pics up to share with other my incredible 4-wheeling experiences. I hoped you would enjoy them but no, I get critisized for killing albino mongooses and destrorying the wildlife and wetlands that DONT EXIST.
I dont mean to be a Jackass but if anyone would like to prosecute me for those pictures, then please do. You can meet me at our local illegal trails known as Back Lakes this weekend.

he will be there sunday, directions: vero beach, take US1 south to feeder road, merge right and go 2.1mi till you see a trail with a yellow road sign out front and take a right, its right after a small storage facility. then head down the trail and take your last right then follow that smaller trail till you see all the trucks. hardbody's name is austin and he is approxmitly 6.2", 120lbs, with short red hair. he will be driving his white 1994 nissan pick up with a blue honda foremen.

yes mine ethan and i dont like you on this website. i already got it running and changed the pullys around and drove it down my street and its super fast, hence the name racing lawn mower. i cut the old big pully off and threaded a 3/8" hole in the diif and new much smaller pully and put a bolt through it all and got a smaller belt at autozone and its all done and its awsome i own a racing lawn mower. you suck because you couldnt do it you tried and failed and abandoned it and i made it all work because i am a genius. o yeah and im getting some mud tires for it tommorow for free. and your never gunna drive it its all mine

i bought with with the intention of who ever wanted to fix the thing they could. I paid for it, you fixed it, its ours. I get to ride the thing whenever i want. That was the idea before Mudfest. Kinda like "your" 4wheeler you had last year. I dont care who rides it or does what to it, as long as it aint destroyied.
I didnt abandon it, i never had time to work on it. Some people have school and work all week and the weekends.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty funny too. I guess I suck at being a little hardass. It's all good though, I'll take a ticket for tresspassing over sinide pills or 5 years in prison for running.
