scott could tell you all the fast people on quadracers back in the day..
i was not around then only old guys remember that stuff....   Wink  lol
lt250's are fast bikes on flattrack and tt... they weight 90lbs less than most 450 4 strokes and built well the lt250 could make the same power output. so that would to faster right?? not only that they are the best handling bike ever.. even better than the 250r... but they dont make bigbores for them so they will never make the power of a 250r..  i think a lt250 could win the junior class everytime out with a good setup, good motor and rider.. if i had one i would prove it...
but i dont so i am counting on doug!! !! !! GO DOUG  Cool!! !! !!

Doug is a good rider, but saying that bike could win everytime out is a very bold statement.

Im curious to this, if the LT's were such great bikes. then why are they so cheap to pick up and why arnt there any aftermarket parts for them? but yet the 250r still holds value and there are tons and tons of shops for these bikes??  I remember back in 86-87 Dave, my dad, and myself looking at the SuzLTs on the show room floor and we went about bought (2) 250rs instead..

no doubt the honda 250 is better and thats why i got one!! but all i am saying is that if the zuke is built right it can hold its own..!! its alot better than most people think..... Cool
sweet tim i would give it a shot!! !! hows it run?? chris im not saying i am going to buy a zuke!! !! !! Cool
the honda is just better and im not that rich.... lol  i would rather have my honda!! !! i was just sayin...
if someone else gots a zuke then i could hook it up to be pretty damn fast but im not going to waste my own money because there is NO way a lt250 could ever be as fast as my 330! but i do think it could be as fast as my old 250 motor. and thats fast enough to win some races!! it was no slouch.....

Hey Tim,

That quadracer looks sweet man. No love for the older Mystic Motorsports rider? My first bike was a '89 LT250R and I can still ride the wheels off that bike.

Yes,

Back in the Day, Rod Gentry Gary Denton as well as Barry McCarty and other did really well on LT250R's. But flat track specific there was a guy named Brian "Animal" Fry that owned the dirt tracks before he retired. Then in the Early 90's FTZ sponsored a guy named Mark Lee for TT racing only and he beat Gary Denton on many occasions. MX and TT hadn't spit yet so most people won't have remembered this.

But to summarize, I may have landed a ride on a sweet LT250R that I plan to bring home 1st place with it to prove that this bike can win. I am going to race Team Underwareracing '07 in the boom boom class to start with until I can fully dial it in.
Chris, get ready you will finally get to race me and I promise I will be tough to deal with on the track. I plan on showing you alot of my grab bar so make sure you come see the front bumper while its parked in the pits.

P.S. How is that for flip/flopping like a politician?

Wow underware... We have NEVER heard that one before huh dave..? maybe you didnt notice my screen named changed.. ill be asking you "hoosier daddy?" after the next race.. Grin

Seriously,Ill be out for probably the whole month of July. The wife and I have a million things to do while were moving but I will have Dave and Dougs help so hopefuly I can get everything done sooner.. Now, I didnt say they (lt250r's) NEVER won I said it was RARE and for those of use who were riding 250rs back in the late 80's we know that for a fact. Geez yall get so uptight about the smallest things... Undecided

Derek,

If The engine runs good and the bike handles as well as I think it should I just might. I was just hoping to get a chance to Flip/flop around to first place in the Boom Boom class first.. Cool I guess we can see this weekend how well FTZ builds motors.

As dad told me, take it as a compliment when people try and knock you off your hill.  Wink  Since Derek thinks he and scott "have the ONLY fast two strokes" ill bust out my banshee and let Gary lead you fellas around the track.  Shocked

come on now... you said you thought it was weird they put 6 bikes on the front and 2 on the back. you should have been on the back row also..I had to pass 5 bikes from the back and you had clean sailing..im going to sound like doug here but i would have had you in 3 more laps, getting through traffic was hell. dont forget you were only a few yards ahead of me at the finish line, and i had to come from behind... Wink next time though..things will be like they used to be at dade city... with you in the rear with the gear!  Shocked
You did run a really good race though!
