That is cruel to say but I would have to agree. Those Lt250R's when built correctly will fly. They are the best cornering chassis of all time. But don't take my word for it, just wait and see Doug's results.

I have deleted my last post as it didnt come out so well..
One last thing i will say and i have said this before.

Alot of times on internet forums things are taken out of text and misunderstood.
since there is no body language and tone of voice in text writing these things they are sometimes misunderstood to say the least. i have been guilty of it and so have many others...
I think from this point forward, i will pick up the phone or send a pm instead of arguing back and forth on a public forum, airing out business that ought not be here...

 It didnt matter what bike he was on, if he showed up to a race, you had to argue who got second. Also, what they left out was that he had a friend who came into a bunch of money named Terry Varner and he was going to buy a motorcycle and sponsor a racer. Gary said "you ought to buy this SUZUKI quad. I think I can win". With Varner knowing how to build motors, he said " Yeah, lets do it". They both became a team. While it only lasted one year, and when SUZUKI put together a race effort, they put Denton on their roster.

When suzuki sent Denton for the National ATV title, He won three races and broke down in 3.. Then about the time three wheelers were getting a bad wrap, the lawyers said no more teams.

He NEVER had factory support from honda, it was his aftermarket sponsors that helped him win the national title from 1987 till 1994.

Oh wait, this was on a motocross track, not a circle...

  My intent is not to get in a pissing match but since you asked...does Tim Farr  ring a bell? In the midwest they call it          Dirt Track. The series consists of both circle track and tt races. Since it already happened it is technically history.

i was not around then only old guys remember that stuff....     lol
lt250's are fast bikes on flattrack and tt... they weight 90lbs less than most 450 4 strokes and built well the lt250 could make the same power output. so that would to faster right?? not only that they are the best handling bike ever.. even better than the 250r... but they dont make bigbores for them so they will never make the power of a 250r..  i think a lt250 could win the junior class everytime out with a good setup,good motor and rider.. if i had one i would prove it...
but i dont so i am counting on doug!! !! !! GO DOUG  !! !! !!

Doug is a good rider, but saying that bike could win everytime out is a very bold statement.

Im curious to this, if the LT's were such great bikes. then why are they so cheap to pick up and why arnt there any aftermarket parts for them? but yet the 250r still holds value and there are tons and tons of shops for these bikes??  I remember back in 86-87 Dave, my dad, and myself looking at the SuzLTs on the show room floor and we went about bought (2) 250rs instead..

Honda  had  everybody  brain  washed  that  there  Rs  where  better.  The  best  was  the  Tecate-4  but  thats  another  story.   Hey  derek  we  might  have  a  lt250  for  you  to  try  out  if  you  want.
