Hey I just got rid of a 96 Warrior. We never had anything major wrong w/it.The only reason we sold was because hubby wanted a 400 ex.I have drove both and I know I may get bashed for this.BUT I liked the way the warrior handled more so than the 400 ex.

I had a 2000 Warrior and I rode it very hard for 2 years and never had any trouble with it at all. It was very reliable and fun to ride. I got rid of it for a 400ex one day on a whim when I took the bike in for maintenance. If the bike you are interested is in good shape and the price is right, you should end up w/ a reliable bike. Just my .02. I hopeeverything works out in your favor.

My brother has one and its pretty good for wheelies and it goes thru decent sized mud holes for a 2 wheel drive.

I have been a warrior owner since 96 and while now there a
ton of bikes that are faster they are good solid quads. With
a pipe and rejetting the carb plus a decent filter you will have
a reasonably quick bike.Having reverse will save youre life on
trail rides. And since they have been around for so long there
is a bunch of stuff out there for them.Do youre maintenance
and it will last forever .

Super reliable but not very fast, but then again they are not meant to be race quads. Excellent for beginers or for simply cruising. We have a rappy 350 in the group and it is a well mannered quad....just not very fast.
