Hey, I heard there's a new place in Lakeland to ride called SCOTT LAKE!

Has anyone seen this? The lake is draining and it's huge.

Too bad it's surrounded by million dollar homes.

It's just coming back to bite them,  it is a public lake that you can't have access to because
the public boat ramp was closed (money helps)  So only lakefront people got to use it. Now
you here OH NO this is a public lake you need to fix this not us .....................

Stay away from the whole, hate to see ya get swallowed up. That lake is proof that if you are greedy w/ what you have it will be taken away. They should let us ATV riders go in there and mix up the dirt in the bottom for them till the rain fills it back up. Cool

I remember back in the late 80's when the "upper" class people on Scott Lake protested to get the little boat ramp on Cleveland Heights to be shut down because of all the non local traffic in "their" lake. I remember when the last lot on the lake went up for sale early 90's, a cool $1 million. It sold quickly & another big luxurious house went up. Well I hope they are enjoying "their" lake ...errr mudpit now. Since the taxpayers cant use "their" lake then the taxpayers should not pay to fix it. If they want the taxpayers to pay to fix it then they should pay to build a new improved larger ramp & let the locals back in. Ol Bernie Little is rolling over in his grave about now.

Turns out the political pull of the local plutocracy will win out again.

Their lawyer has determined that they own the lake, however the taxpayers own what's under the lake.
Thus swftmd and other public government orginizations will be doing the repairs and passing on the cost to the taxpayers.

I call it "Sticking it to the working man"
