I was born in WPB,FL/Good Sam. 1966
My folks are from here and so were their parents.
My GGrandad helped found Clewiston with the Luckey family and my Grandad retired fire chief of Jupiter. My dad's mom was born on a Blackfoot reservation in the Dakota mountains.
I hate what has become of my state. What can you do? There are so many people and we keep making more people and this is a great place in the world to live so I can't really blame anyone for wanting to live in paradise with me. I just wish after they moved here they didn't take my fun away with their ridicules hypocrisies.

My family traces back to when they started keeping records in Ocala. My wife's a Yank' though, from Indiana. Ironically we were going to leave for a while, you know to see if God exists, but we broke down and the homosexuals at the Ford dealer wouldn't fix our Escort station wagon. Evil

Funny story..
I was in tractor supply in Z hills a few months back, this 80YO New York woman was fighting with the cashier. the old lady says very snotty "So much for this southern hospitality" so then i had to speak up and reminder her, There are more yankees in florida than southerners so there arnt any southerers left but she was free to go home anytime since she had a new york drivers license. Then i asked "how would she feel if we all moved to her town every six months, clogged up the roads driving 20mph, not knowing where their going... and then having the nerve to complain!" She gave me the eat crap and die look and left very quick... when the doors shut behind her, I got smiles from everyone!

Now, Now Chris. Thats not Very respectful to your elders !!!
But anyway, I didnt think it was that hard to figure out. Look at it like this: If someone says" what kind of pop do you have?" they are fron the NORTH,
Or if someone says" what kind of soda do you have ?" they are from the south!,
I learned real quick, that its called soda, and when in Rome, do as the Romans do !!! Wink

If you would have heard this womans attitude, you would have spoke up to.
Imagine standing in line behind someone for 10 min whiles shes complaining just to complain.
The "so much for this southern hospitality" With the smart ass snicker as she looked at everyone in line. That was the last straw...
One thing my parents tought me was manners, but also to stand up for what you think is right or wrong. The other option would be, like most americans is to not say anything as shes raising hell in the middle of the store...Im not to down with the whole P.C. mentality american has... lesser of two evils perphaps, but i stand behind my choice..  Thumbs Up

Don,
if she was from another country talking smack about the USA and I fired one back to her. Would that be any different? I dont think it is....  BUT, i doubt you would have had a problem with me "talking to my elders like that" in that case...  Roll Eyes

Cool madison is about 50miles from here to live oak
and almost about 60miles from here to mcalpin..Well i know land prices are pretty high here
and they are doing is selling 5acres alots in middle of swamp lands and even rip off deals
here..But,what realstate is trying to do  limt farming land not huge land and i think, every subvision
should be ban for building these subvisions across state of florida i think, they should crack down on subvisions for being built by cheap realstate jerks. but if we get more hurricaines hit state of florida then alot people will be moving out state than might be less subdivisions to be built in florida. But my best bet try find land at good price and alot huger acres will be better choice bescuase then they don't form subdivisions right near you .Look at places around outside lake city west of I75 out rual areas..

But, in 30 or 50years from  now there is not going be anying farm land left in state of florida..

we were looking at 100+ acre lots up there, property was super cheap (3 yrs ago), but then again its super rural. We bought a piece in zhills and we now call that home..
