i havent been able to ride my four wheeler forever due to broken sruff but i guy i work with is buying it tomorrow.  I am looking to buy another quad and want a fast bike that i can possibl use for recreational racing but mainly just to ride fast and have fun with...the budget is roughly $2500.  I asm considering a raptor, 400ex, or 250R.  guidance please...are 250Rs going to be to old with too many problems?  I Know 400 exes are great reliable bikes wiuth tons of aftermarket parts....and the only bad things ive  heard about a raptor are that it is top heavy

I dont know klutch, now that the 450's are dominating now you can find a 400ex or z400 for a good price. Infact our quad mechanic picked up a 03 400ex with low hours and no probs for what your budget is. And your right about the aftermarket because used to a 400 was all you got so there is a ton of aftermarket for these quads. So i would say a 400ex or a comparable 400 sport quad.

Hey, I did a little research on atvtrader.com .  I got 3 offers for you to take a look at.

1. 2002 Honda 400ex
$2500
Phone Number 1-314-842-8659
Its in good condition and the guy has done a bunch of extra matinence. Its been in a shed for the past year cause he bought a dirt bike and doesnt want it anymore.

2. 2000 Honda 440ex
$2800

Claimed to be in good condition. Has the 440 kit in it plus renthal handle bars and full skidplates.

3. 2003 Suzuki z400
$3500 or best offer
940-789-2169
This is probably the best deal in this post. He is going to college and needs cash. This thing has more modifications then I could list. He listed them all and its almost 9000 worth of modifications. If you want to race a little bit then you could get this quad and drive out to a track with out any time spent on it.
