i know everyone is busy in between heats with your on repairs and set ups, but everyone needs to take time to watch the mini's.  they are just as intense and serious as everyone else out there.  and yes i agree, it is some of the best racin' goin, especially when they start out as 5 and 6 year olds.  we are allways looking for  more mini's to show up.

I just got off the phone with Gary... If Farr is there I have to run the Open class.  Wink
If not, I guess I can beat gary again for the 100th time!

As far as the Minis go, I WONT be buying tires.. Justin dont race there enough for it to be cost effective. if need be Ill pull my rears off and put them on his. But the fronts are going to have to be nobbies..  Dave, Why didnt you talk to Tim about this?
Is the flag man the head man now?

Yes the flagman Ray is calling the shots, Tim has moved into a track manager role and less of a track worker role. When I called yesterday to talk with Tim he put Ray on the phone.I have been planning on getting Tyler rear tires anyway because he is squirly in the corners with his knobbies but I don't see the point of getting front slicks.
Someone start a poll on here about whether we should start by a green light or flag in hand. Several people have pm'd me about this. Comments???

If we started with a green light would we be doing it from a dead start or rolling start!?

We would start as we did the other night but instead of the flagger on the ground starting the race, he gets a nod from the riders then sends it up to the tower to flip the green light, then were off!

Then Id rather start by green light!!
Also, if we started farther back, then the 2-strokes would always get the holeshot!!
I need all the help on a 4 stroke that i can get! Grin

I know theyre preachin sliks for "everybody on everything". But what about mini fronts. Ive been lookin around, and theyre just isnt anything out there that ive been able to find as far as minis go. I am in the process of switchin out the turf tamers i just bought. Ive been able to find several places that deal a golf cart tire that looks excellent, but no fronts. If the man says everybody needs em, then thems the rules, but they must understand the availability issue. Also if anybody knows where to find a set that dont weigh 12 lbs and arent 23 inches tall, please let me know. Thanks  John
  Hey John,
I spoke with Ray (flagman) yesterday for a few minutes. I am gonna go out on a limb here and say you should be ok without slicks on the fronts with the Minis, we all know they don't ruin the track and you are right, the fronts are hard to find. I just ordered a set for my Mini for the rear and they set me back $300 so I hope the rest of the Minis don't bail just because of a tire rule.... Sad

No,no, dont get me wrong. Were not bailin. Like i said if thems the rules then thems the rules. Im just sayin that if when we show up next week and for some reason we dont have sliks on the front of the mini, its not because were just blowin em off, theyre just hard to come by.

I agree with ya 100%. Starts from the half way point suck. Im just gettin hookd up by the time i have to let off for the corner, and you cant lower airpressure just to try and get the whole shot. As far as the light, i can go either way. I like the flagger more i think. I know last week during a beginner run, we ran the whole race on yelow, lol. So personally when i comaslidin round 4 im lookin at the man with the flag.

Yall missed a goodun last night (dade city). We had a small turn out but we had alot of fun. I think we had 6 quads, but there was plenty of action. Afew dirt bikes and a couple lil guys. I love that track. I wish theyd still run down there. You can tell they or he puts in some time workin it. Had a great time.

Superstar,
No offence here but i dont think we will being going back to Dade City...
Lets see, Doug got kicked out, Colin likes to call me a fat pig hiding behind a screen name for a week.
I doubt Dave would go because of the whole Colin screaming "I F'in hate you guys!" to me and when I asked him what he was talking about he said he hates quads... then he walks over and tells my wife, then he tells Megan, Dougs wife the same thing... and everyone else live to far from the track to go and practice...But if you want to go.... knock yourself out!  Wink   trust me hes taking care of the track for the two wheelers not for the quads...
Ask him, he will tell you as well.
