Well, here at the house all we have to do is turn the sprinklers on, it is sure to rain. Down at the park all we had to do is put down 2 new wells to pump from an walla it's raining go figure. Oh, and prayer works too!

Thanks,

patty i have an idea. not sure the of the problems youd have doing this but people like me who visit l-cross every event and most of the time due to work cant get there until 10 or 11 p.m and get a crappy camp. what about having good shaded spots roped off diff sizes, loc, ect. and charging for them. i'd pay 30-50 for premium spot for weekend just to know i have a spot. just an idea though.... thank you for hearing me and sorry to post on this thread

That's a great idea and alot of people have asked if we would think about doing something like that. I just have a problem asking for more money. It just does not seem right. So then how do we decide who gets what spot. Let Mark and I talk about it some more and see what we can come up with.

Thanks,
Patti

Patty, you could number a certain amount of campsites and post them on your website. That way people could reserve those spots that they would like to have. The only thing is that you should have them call you to reserve them so the customer would know which ones have already been reserved. It may take a trip or two for people to figure where the numbered sites are and then they can write down the numbers they like to make future reservations. It would not work for our large group but would probably work for many others.

Also don't forget pre-payment for the site.

Instead of charging more for the premium spot, dont open that area til 10 or 11 that night. the early ppl are already in there camp sites (I wouldnt pick up and move my stuff that late at night) and it would give the late ppl a chance to get a good site.

just another thought.    MB

Can you tell me more about the camp for families?  Are there spots with shade?  Is there a separate place to ride?  Is the swimming hole going to be open? Will there be a trail ride?  This will be the first time we are bringing our son.  We will be arriving tomorrow mid-day.
Thanks

We moved the family KIDDIE CAMPGROUND further back in the 2nd camping section. The camping area is fenced with 2 openings to come and go. There are alot of trees in that area. There is a mudhole just for the kids to play in that we will put water in if there isn't any mud in it now. There are trail rides both Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10:00am. Mark has been pumping water for this whole past month to get enough for the big mud hole and is filling the swimming hole as well. There IS water in the HOLE!! Therefore we have MUD!!

Thanks,
See you this weekend!
