where do i change the tranny oil on my 450r?   i bought it used and didnt get an owners manuel!

on the right side of the motor(behind the brake lever, there is a 12mm head bolt that u take out and that drains the oil, then u put that back in once its done draining, open the black plastic filler cap on the right side of the motor and just down and to the left of it is a 10mm head bolt with a philips in the middle of it, u take that out and pour oil into where the black oil cap was until it comes out of the hole where the 10mm bolt was and then u put the 10mm bolt back in and put the black cap back on and u should be done
(btw, there was another post about this also)

Wait....

you mean you have to change the oil in the transmission TOO? Evil

I alway wondered why they have a phillips head screw to check the oil...seems like the engineers could have done a better job  than that.

www.helminc.com is where you can buy the owners manuals. they are the oem or factory ones issued with the bikes (we got a used bike and ordered one and the people we got the bike from sent us the original one a month later and it was the same) . they were like 20 bucks for the ones we bought.
