Was this a senate judiciary subcomittee or house cause i dont recall this coming infront of either as of last couple of weeks, i even checked both web sites for transcripts and couldnt find them?? While the death of this mans child is a real tragedy and i think every one should do a little praying this is not the answer.If this is what they feel will deter violence they better start praying alot more cause in the real world it wont.As a gun owner/collector and nra member i feel like they dont always represent exactly the way they should.Example :yesterday 3 million registered gun owners shot no one. if thats the case you would think they would push for illegal gun laws, after all if your obeying the law what do you have to be affraid of?But thats not the stand the nra takes.They feel we should have no such laws,does that make sense? This mans daughter was murdered with an illegal firearm.Most acts of drive by shootings , robberies,car jackings,gang viloence are all perpatrated with illegal firearms!!
We in this country are quick to point fingers , the man is right.But unfortunatley not everyone is a christian last time i checked,and i believe they commit just as many crimes as all the other religions.Do we need a moment of silence in school ?What could it hurt, they had it while i was in school , although i went to christian school.Hey now wait a minute, ther is an idea - send yor child to christian school then they will have prayer every day if you think that will make them better.The point is this=We like to think that our god will fix everything but thats not true, he gives YOU the stregth to fix it yourself. You cant expect everyone to see things your way thats just not rational thinking.As a christian my relationship with god is personal , and the more that you make it public the more of a religious radical you appear to be , and thats when the people look at you like a Benny Hinn , Pat Robertson, Oral Roberts,Jim Bakker , Rod Parsley , Jimmy Swaggart and the list goes on and on and thats what they relate you to ---charlatans!!!!  If you have ever heard the term bet with your wallet not your heart this applies here but use your  head when applying laws to millions who do not share your....spirited look at things , yet use your heart when understanding and respecting there differences.There are those who will tell you that america was established on christian values and that is true but arent most countries laws similar to ours even though they are not christian countries? Our founding fathers certainly didnt act like strict christians, Ben Franklin was a womanizer and a known boozer around town, Thomas Jefferson had slaves.., and he fathered several children out of wed lock while commiting adultery,George Washington loved wine , he loved wine so much he made his own , which he loved to drink by the bottle full . So lets be honest with each other they werent saints and neither am i ,and im sure no one here is .If thats your biggest gripe with this great country, you have been sleeping=Heres some stuff no none gives a d@mn about ..;20% of all children live in poverty(do you care) thousands of veterans who spilt there blood on foreign soil so you can speak your mind dont have proper health care(we owe them that much dont we?)Gas is 3 dollars a gallon and there are many americans  whos hourly wage isnt going up to help them feed there kids(is that not an american problem?)elderly americans cant afford health care because of the greedy drug companies and others(geuss thats not important either)we have illegals freely running thru our borders(why couldnt one of those be al queda) these are HUGE problems that no one wants to address , they would rather b@#ch about not being able to have a moment of silence in school instead of really getting there hands dirty. With good deeds comes grace , if you help others it comes back to you.All these problems, and i just mentioned a few, and all any one can think about is them selves........Thats not the idea this country was founded on. We are a DEMOCRACY....by the people for the people not for some but for the good of ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a fantastic idea to pit american vs american over religion, Wow thats very similar to Nazi germany, Kosovo, Iraq,Turkey thats just to name a few . I hate when people push there religion on me , im christian and ive got a huge problem with it . Yes ther are those who want to change the pledge , i think that is stupid (you dont like it dont say it)but that got beat in court. They want to call Christmas Sales= Holiday Sales , i think its stupid , but there not selling to just christians , it is also hannuka and whatever holidays is going on .Your stewing over petty stuff , sack up .....be a real man and demand change where it is really needed or else be looked upon as a PERSON THAT TOOK THE EASY WAY ,AND DIDNT CARE TO MAKE REAL CHANGE........I KNOW I LOVE THIS COUNTRY ENOUGH.......DO YOU?

dated may 27th 1999. seems like at the time it wasnt newsworthy since it he didnt offer anything of substance exept his stand on gun control.he also was only in front of a few sub-committe members and a stenographer(thats a type of court reporter, donk)so its not quite what its put up to be, i kind of like the truth......it sets you free.

The quote was emailed to me and I posted it here as a chance for people that had not read it to do so. I did not post it for someone to go off on a childish rant. I do agree with most of what you said.... actually... all of it, but I do not see how this article could have propted the responce it did from you. Didnt your Mommy hold you enough? There now do you feel better? You made several childish statements questioning someones ability to understand your post when all anyone was trying to understand is the responce it prompted. I was simply looking for an credible reason for your rant.    I agree that Swamp Donkeys post didn't deserve the 10 minute rant that SomBch gave in response to it. Honestly SomBch when you follow up with belittling response like "Ill type slower next time" and " Here's one that's easy" and " wow thought you could figure it out by deductive reasoning, guess not" and stenographer "that's a type of court reporter,donk" it kind of baffles me because on one hand you seem very well spoken and versed  but on the other you try to verbally ridicule another member who is obviously as well spoken and versed if not more so than yourself. You seem educated enough to get your point accross without the insults and if you were to research a few of Swamp Donkeys past conversations he has been involved in you would find that he is a decent person and one of last people that deserve to be talked down to by anyone on this site. I would be more on your side if he had been attacking you but that's not the case. I personally agree 100% with the letter he posted but that's just my opinion. Keeping insults aside is more effective. And, suggesting that honoring God in everything we ALL do, couldn't be more noble. However, in this world, that alone is no more effective at curing mankind's differences than Nancy Reagan's "Just Say No" campaign or this country's war on drugs.   Re-read all of your post and then you can retract your statement or you can continue being a hypocrite. Yes we all need prayer, I agree with you 100% and I have people praying for me every day...genuine people whom I respect and have proven their actions beyond words and I pray for those people as well every day!! In response to your accusation of being self righteous well that only proves your ignorance about the good people on this forum, most are very humble and willing to help others. If you truly wish to be a member of this forum for the reason of getting to know great people and improving your life as I have by knowing them please do so and I am sorry for any aggravation I have caused you.
