The first thing I'd probably go for is a K&N air filter cause the foam ones stink. Then probably a pipe but that'd cost something like $250. Besides for that I'm a ute guy so no idea.

Not sure, always noticed a big differance in the engine power between those OEM foam filters and our K&Ns. My dad's AC500 was never able to burnout in the dirt before we put the K&N in it. And I agree completely with RAD 700r. We try to ride every day, even if it's only a couple laps in the little track we built on the side of the house. Been a year and a half since we started and we've pushed that old recon to it's limits. Thing's ready for a pipe now that there's no muffle left in the muffler.

I guess you didnt know There is a difference between OEM foam filters and Aftermarket foam filters like UNI, Twinair etc...  +plus foam catches the fine dust better   Tongue

K&N is a good high performance filter but if u ride places like croom with heavy dust id go faom(not realy that much less performance). i have a k&n and im always cleaning it, i got an outerweres for the airbox now and it helps a litle tho...

and go with an hmf full system, fairly cheap and no worse than an expensive pipe, and get a dynojet kit, dont go with hmfs jeting stuff

and u dont realy need more performance than that, id maybe make it a litle wider and put a strong grab bar on it, they are realy good wheeley machines Wink

check the new dirt wheels "prodject 250ex" hmf full system an air filter foam OR k&n jet kit,,, annnd  mud light tires, hell yea, just look in dirt wheels

Depends on your level of riding, every modification you buy doesnt have to make you faster. I say if you're new into riding, buy something like a steering stabilizer, no reason buying something that will help kill yourself faster if you lack the experience needed to ride the d@mn thing in the first place.
I say a steering stabilizer and an aftermarket filter. Get used to your bike first.
